Injustice Comics As It Relates to Injustice 2 (Spoilers)

My honest opinion:

The lore doesn't mean too much regarding the cast because this game is going to be a very *VERY* loosely inspired riff on 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.

The very fact that you can adjust your gear for Single Player suggests to me that while the "injustice" universe versions of these characters will be in the game, the versions of the characters you as the player will control will likely be from unnamed alternate universes.

The comics are over now. In the last issue Superman killed Batwoman (and possibly Bargirl?) I couldn't really tell.

As far as I remember, Batman, Lex, and Deathstroke were the only insurgents that survived before the characters from the other dimension were brought in.
