I am excited as well!!! I was pretty much a newb with MKX in terms of trying to play fighters at more than a casual level and I have spent a decent amount of time with KI and SFV since, so I think ill be a little more comfy with I2 now that I have a bit more experience overall.

I also think my time here on TYM will be easier now that I have learned most of the FGC lingo...except Fuzzy Guard, I still have no idea what that means :D

Anyway I hope everybody enjoys the game tomorrow or whenever it is you finally get to play it and good luck out there to everybody who will be competing!!

Most of the time when people in the NRS community use the term fuzzy guard, they mean the idea of blocking mixups by memory of the frames, rather then trying to react or straight guess. Say a string goes high-low and has another option for high-overhead, but the low comes out in 18 frames and the overhead comes out in 26, you could block low for the first 18 frames and then high after and in theory block that mixup everytime.

But that's not really the typical use of the term which is more about having a standing hitbox while crouch blocking, but I rarely see that definition used in the context of NRS games.

I've never been this hype for a game ever! MKX you were my first fg and I had my fun but HOLY shit were you frustrating as well.

Ah that makes sense. I am still learning and trying to understand how frame data works but with what I do know that makes sense. So if you know both possible options and at what speed they come out you can essentially block both by blocking one way for the small period when the first one can come out, then switching to the other option right after? Is that about the gist of it?

Yup, you got it. It's a huge help once you get it down against some people.
