ImNewbieSauce Again, amazing thread/posts lol
You see, I have a story. I LOVE HOCKEY. Its a passion of mine, but lately, its been pushed to the side. "How in the world could you say that, Tim?" Well, you see Mr Sauce, I live in Columbus, Ohio. I am a Buckeye through and through, and pride in where you come from is STRONG in these parts. That's part 1. Part #2 is that, in the early 90's, I discovered an amazing hockey game called NHL Hockey. It was fanfuckintastic. Even better and more realistic than Blades of Steel. Well, I liked Gretzky but never liked those Canadian teams lol, but via this EA Sports hockey sim, I discover a team called the Chicago Blackhawks. Studs of a front line, beat D-men and an amazing goalie. I was hooked. Roenick is still my favorite player of all time, (and I agree, seeing Chelios win with the fucking scumbag motherfucking Red Wings was DISGUSTING) and I became a full on Blackhawk's fan. Shortlived as it was, in June of 1997, my hometown of Columbus (another reason I hate Detroit is the Ohio St-Michigan rivalry) was awards a new NHL franchise. I first tried to fight it, but knowing Roenick wasn't in Chicago anymore, and I would now have a chance to actually attend NHL hockey games, my allegiance slowly shifted to this new franchise. Sure, I knew they would be bad the first couple years, but figuring they would accumulate high draft picks and surely turn those into future NHL All-Stars. Rick Nash! Nikolay Zherdev!! Klesla! Picard! Brule! LeClaire.
NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. FUCK NO.
16 years later, and one Stanley Cup in Chicago later, I'm just fucking done with the Blue Jacket's franchise. I refuse to follow, root, buy merch, wear any that i still own (still trying to sell off a couple jerseys on Craigslist, recently finally sold my 2 Nash jerseys).
I was SO proud of the Blackhawks in 2009-10. I actually saw them beat the CBJ that year, twice lol. I always made sure I'd see them play in Cbus. It was mind blowing to see those sweaters in real life lol. And yes, the BEST jerseys in all of pro sports. Period.
I really REALLY hope they do it again this year. I am a Chicago fan again, if for only this (shorten

) season, but my love for the 'Hawks will always be strong.
