I give up on wake up attacks.

If you do that then you'd have people doing perfect wakeup attacks left and right. Even people who have no problems with WUs, I don't think that most can constantly do them on the first frame at this point...Maybe you should lose your invulnerability if you do the input in this early window because I don't think making it easier for people to do perfect wakeup attacks is the best answer.
Neither would it be if you playing against someone offline who had the timing perfectly every single time...always getting the perfect wake up if they needed. Online however that same player could not accomplish this due to the input delays and random lag spikes.

Unless they can make the online have flawless rollback then this may be their only option to make people actually be able to use them online and not have to suffer from stupid ballsy jump in's their wake up could have beat.

I...don't see the big deal about this. It's not even unnecessarily difficult, and I feel like the complaints about the wakeup system being difficult is coming from a lot of people who are almost exclusively online players. Which has ZERO room to be factored into the equation since the online is not the best in the first place.

Idk, maybe it's just me coming from having to learn to do reversals in stuff like ST and Alpha 2, where the window was ridiculous.

I don't agree at all. The wakeup element and anti air element of the game is sorely, desperately, lacking. There is no real middle ground in the game, middle ground being the ability to force someone from jumping all over the place once they get a knock down. There is no strong need to worry what downed might wake up with to cut that flow of attack.

I had absolutely no problems with reversals in those games you mentioned above - this one they're borderline useless for a lot of the cast and minimally useful for the rest.
