What's new

I’m drunk right now.

Please remember to have some water, otherwise this can be quite the hangover later.

What are TYM's members favorite drinks? Mine is Moscow mule, closely followed by Mojitos. Anything with vodka will do for me, though. I can't drink red wine (always get stomach aches) and dont like beer. Also, not a fan of whiskey, but will drink it if nothing else is available.

And I LOATHE Absynth. Had a bad experience with it once, can still taste the phantom flavour of it years later.

Hard choice, most beers taste like shit to me but I get drunk for the feeling, that’s the main thing for me and yeah, hangovers suck.

Hangovers after 30 years of age are 3 day long events. They've made me almost scared to drink lol.

I'm a scotch guy though. Laphroaig is my favorite. Perdomo for a cigar with it
I’m in my 30’s myself and I had such a shitty hangover last year, was a really bad one but my hangovers can be less serious, depends.

Resident drinker here lol.. Ima weekend alchy.. I literally drink every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday BUT NOTHING but water during the week... It is what it is.. It doesn't really affect my life per say.. Fun Fact, every major I ever played in going to back to umvc 3 back in 2012, I've been drunk..it actually helps me play better

I had to give up alcohol over a decade ago due to a health issue, but when I could drink it was usually beer, rye and cokes, and tequila shots.

What's the point of a random Krypt?
I usually drink wine, beer, and Fernet with coke, which is quite popular where I'm from. I like vodka, but I rarely drink it.

Tequila shots are wild, but fun as fuck, specially if you have at least other 3 people with you doing them. Everyone gets drunk and talkative, fast.

I tried fernet with coke for the first time last month and loved it. It has kind of a minty flavour to it, I wish it was more common here in Brazil!

Being drunk helps me cope, to tell the truth, I have autism and I’m quiet in real life (beer helps me to socialise though after I’m drunk enough) and I also suffer from depression which is no surprise since autistic dudes are likely to suffer from depression I heard.

Haha, yeah. I remember thinking it tasted kinda like medicine when I first tried it. I absolutely love it now though. I dont think it's very popular outside of Argentina, and maybe Uruguay.

How are you doing?
quite well thanks. Friday, finally. Relaxed a bit trying to grind some KL with Smoke (started playing him couple days back and I feel I'm not using even 30% of his potential) and now watching Sikander's stream.

How about you? All good mate?

You know you've had a good night in if you do the Saturday morning cringe-cleansing of all your drunken posts on TYM... I'm sure Robocop's had more than his fair share of emabarressed "was drunk" deletion reasons come through on his notifications from me

I don't drink in the week, but am a home relaxed beer drinker on Fridays and Saturdays. Tend to drift from brand to brand after about 6 months when my taste buds tire of them. I personally REALLY prefer smooth bitters like Mary Ann (my locally brewed ale, but only available in pubs), Boddingtons and John Smiths, but they're low alcohol (usually around 3.5%) and work out way more expensive since I have to have way more to get jolly rogered (8-10 440ml cans). So tend to stick to lagers, over the last few years drifted from Kronenberg to Birra Moretti to Peroni to Madri to San Miguel to currently Heinekan; after about 6 months they get boring and start tasting like metal and find a new one. I'm not too fussy really as long as they're not too fruity or too metallic. 4 of the 650ml bottles on a Friday and 4 on a Saturday is my usual happy hour (and they're 2 for £4.75 on deal at my local supermarket, so pretty good value too).

I lost a loved one to alcohol, plus my job has me heavily involved with homeless and addicts, so do my best to ensure I'm only a relaxed casual drinker at weekends. My girlfriend barely drinks (though works weekends), so she's a good measure for keeping me on best behaviour.

Well getting drunk early in the afternoon won't help with your depression and coping. Alcoholism is just the symptoms to the real underlying issue. There are better ways to deal with personal issue than drinking. I know. I had to learn how to deal with my real problems over a year. If you are wanting to get help, shoot me a DM.

I’m good and drunk.
What beer are you drinking specifically?

Regarding your depression, try exercise my brutha. Honestly just coming onto this forum and creating multiples threads of convo is a net positive. More people than you can imagine avoid socializing all together. Hope you get out of your doldrums and live a productive life. If you ever feel completely glum, feel free to reach out.
