Hype discussion thread

This community and this forum have been at a crossroads over whether we are hype or immature. Is this site boring, professional, or something else entirely, and so on. Therefore the following questions ought to be discussed so that we may determine how we wish to handle ourselves:

PART 1:
What is hype? Is it just drama, in game rivalries, out of game rivalries? Should hype get personal or is that going too far?
Is hype something that happens in a game? is it an improbable catch, an aethetic spectacle, an amazing comeback?
Is hype the atmosphere? is it the game at the highest level, playing for a championship, playing for a lot of money?
Is hype in english? Is it trash talk, is it "stay free," "hold dat," etc?
Is hype televised? Should hype matches be on stream? how about blowups?
Is hype a product? can it increase views, can it get sponsors interested, can it boost the scene?
What is hype?

PART 2:
With this in consideration, the community has had many conflicts and callouts, rivalries, etc. sometimes for money, sometimes for pride. I think these rivalries have a huge potential to grow the scene, but not if they simply come down to bickering. One good example for this is how hype is used in professional wrestling:

This is a callout video where TVK calls out Trash (a masked wrestler) for having cost him multiple championships, doing bad political things, trying to humiliate him in the ring, etc. he says that it's no longer about titles, now it's personal and he'll destroy him IN THE RING in a LUCHA DE APUESTAS (match with a bet). The bet is hair vs mask... yeah you read that right HAIR VS MASK.

So why am i saying that gaming could do something like this? How hype would it be in a match playing a hair match where the loser shaves their head, or even better for the other player's HANDLE? What if PL and Gross played and one could never go by that name again? Rivalry settled, maximum ownage. Money matches are interesting, but they're not nearly as engaging as a match that puts someone's identity and pride on the line. Now that would be something that you could SELL TICKETS for.
Just something to take into consideration.
