How to defeat SonicFox

I find it funny and somewhat disrespectful how some guys are implying SonicFox plays the same as he did two or four years ago. This may be a news flash to some of you but SonicFox has matured tenfold as a player. IMO, he is WAY better at MKX right now than he was at MK9 or Injustice. But of course I wouldn't expect everyone to know that because most of you haven't gotten the chance to play him yourself in this game to experience it first hand.

SonicFox's neutral game is one of the best I've played so far in MKX. You need very good footsies and a powerful neutral game to have success with Erron Black so it's a perfect fit for him, IMO. To me, SonicFox isn't this "YOLO run up or jump mash random attacks" player some of you think he still is from his gameplay in the past. He's way better now and you guys will see when you're forced to play the neutral with him this time around. His footsies are devastating.

Anyway, you heard it from here first. It's time to adapt and come up with a new blueprint to fight the new and evolved omega Fox.

OK, so with another mk tourny under SonicFox's belt (albeit online) there has to be some communication among the community. First off one of the main problems I noticed among the top players is that they refuse to play any character SonicFox plays. In Injustice as well, SonicFox used batgirl, a character almost no other high placing competitors used, So I propose that some more top players ie. Reo and others who come close to SonicFox's placings, at least try to use Erron Black and figure out some of his flaws, or maybe at this point just mirror match him and outplay him, Someone please stop SonicFox's reign of terror, its saddening.

It looks like his gameplay is yolo idiot. But he just so strong in the neutral he completely over welms you and he can play his game. The game is usually in hisfavor.

I haven't played him in MKX but it's obvious losing Winter Brawl 2014 was a turning point in his FG maturity.

I agree him losing a lot in some of the ways he did forced him to adapt and change. I just want players to stop thinking SonicFox is the same Mileena player who mashes random teleports and rolls and does the same with Batgirl via teleports and yolo DPS. Not saying it's just you, but it's still the general consensus on SonicFox (through TYM, twitter, facebook, etc.) and I believe it's outdated.

I firmly believe he is THE footsie player this time around. Now maybe someone may show up in the future and challenge him for that title, but currently he has the neutral game on lock. At least IMO anyway.

Sonic Fox is very good and deserves all credits for his high level competitive skilful ability to play MKX ..... there is no such thing as invencible and unbeatable but, at the moment, the kid surely is one of the best of the best and he serves purposely kinda like a FGC reference as challenge and inspiration for all others top players to improve themselves in MKX.

Don't worry about the kid. You have to defeat thousands of players to get to his level. When you get to his level you can start worrying about him.

In Injustice, backdash Batgirl's cartwheel options after blocking the first part, for my sake. reo mad a video about it. It will give you a few extra chances.

I want to see Ducky play him. His defense might be enough to slow Fox down and D'Vorah is really good at the neutral game IMO. It would be a lot of fun to see.
