Admittingly I am new and suck at this game. I had it when it came out for Wii U, got rid of since I grew impatient with their lack of support for it then got it for PS3 for Christmas. I am more of CAPCOM fighter not MK at all but I am a huge DC Comics buff. However, I have nothing but complaints for this game but I want to like it, I really do. I guess my main issue is punishment and mounting an offense.
In Injustice it feels like so many things are safe like combo strings. If I block one - what do I do? The only answer I ever have is to throw but yeah that cannot always be the only option am I right? Most combo strings it seems are just safe on block like a -4 or so. I try to combo them back myself but no, they already mounted an offense with a new combo hitting me out of whatever I thought I would hit them with. I tried even combos that begin with 1 but that comes off 50/50. Plus, so many combos have starters that are high so if I tried that they just duck and punish me accordingly.
And is there a point to jump-ins? They don't seem all too safe, if blocked I get punished no matter what it seems. I've been playing fighting games forever but this THIS is just I cannot grasp at anything. Then comes the zoning but really what bothers me is punishment and trying to mount a decent offense and get a combo off? I always end up being on the defense but my roster of characters I use don't have the best of zoning (at least in my opinion) plus I really hate resorting to spamming projectiles. Sorry, I like to have some honor.
