I saw them back in '04, enjoyed their first 3 albums quite a bit. Kind of grew out of them. I kept verbally informing them that I'd like them to play 'fisticunt', eventually they gave in! That song always gives me a good laugh! :top:Was listening to a band called Gorgasm. Found the name hilarious.
Another American Head Charge fan??! Winning.I went to high school in the Poconos, and freshman year - out of blatant determination not to be a complete obscure shmuck for the rest of my days - I decided I'd think of a nickname, an alias by which all would know me, something...unique.
Last period of the day was gym, and for whatever reason, our baseball field was legit half a mile from the actual gym itself, and as we were walking along the side of the road, I noticed a gigantic mound of trash waiting to be trucked away. And on the tippy top of this pile for no discernable reason, was an unbroken, perfectly symetrical, 6-sided cardboard box. Off went the lightbulb, and on that day, I became Box.
I even declared my own national holiday. November 9'th = BOX DAY.
The "Lieutenant" came from doing street team/online promotion stuff for American Head Charge (Am I the only person on earth who loved this band? I know nearly no one else who bumped them, and they were amazing...) after they'd signed onto some odd indie label and put together a tour, they went via Myspace and picked a different person from each state/major city they were going to to basically promote the fuck out of them to any human being with ears or eyes. I got New Jersey - even though the show I was promoting was in NYC, blocks away from MSG, but nobody from the NY area picked up the ball to promote, so I got it by default - and ended up forming an awesome bond with bassist Chad, who at the time was going by General Banks, so I became his lieutenant. Then we had to scour Manhattan for a juicer and a 3rd gen Ipod battery, and got kicked out of an indian barber shop for looking too scary. Awesome times...

I was beginning to think time had forgotten my beloved AHC.
Banks was seriously THE nicest guy in the universe.
And surprisingly short. I'm 5'10" and I had him beat by about 3 inches.
I got it 10 years ago and haven't taken it out of rotation since.War of Art is one of my favorite albums of all time dude.
