There's a backlog of untested rape kits just sitting on shelves, a lot of them for years which is really bad since DNA degrades over time. An 11 year old girl and her father learned about this and have made a petition to not only fund testing for those rape kits but also make some changes in the law so that a backlog for something like this never happens again.
Even if you don't live in the U.S. I ask that you still sign this as your country might follow suit after seeing U.S. adapt some changes to how they handle cases of sexual assault and rape. The only way to change how the world handles this is to start somewhere. And if you need another reason for why to sign, they aren't testing men's or childrens or teens rape kits any sooner than they are woman or adults.
