When they have no meter is probably the safest bet. But I mostly do f+mp, MK cold shoulder xx ex hail rather than f+mp xx ex hail
It only takes one command grab by Thunder to change the match completely. His j.HP is sooooo ambigious.
Are you serious? Your gonna "bro" me over a single match when all I see are dropped combos, whiffed shadow specials, and NOT keeping thunder out of range? Sorry man, I was with Abbneto last night watching Riyo play, and while he is a great player and will certainly develop against thunder, this is not how the MU is played. Write me back when you've got a tutorial against true zoning...not a first to ONE match.

This really isn't how the MU should be played though, and ALOT of punishment was dropped here. Abbneto and I will have to upload some serious matches. Again, I have faith in the balance in this game, and I'm sure there is something we thunders are just missing, but right now it isn't obvious.
Hey man, anything that can help explain. But I do think your not playing as much keep away as you possibly can. Abbneto and I play a ton, and he's got it down pat. Glacius can make it near impossible for Thunder to get in. It's a very lamed out play style but it works like a dream.
I think that match was during hour 9 of my 13 hours playing straight last night so I can't be playing correctly every time. xD I give what I can provide. All that matters.

That's an online match like a week into the game. That match up is just fundamentally bad. It's going to be hard for thunder but it's not terrible.
Right now it's terrible....in a few weeks I have high hopes that it won't be. Something will be figured out. No company, prestigious or not, is going to put 7-3 or worse MU's in a six character game.
If it helps to know, there are also offline sets to substantiate the fact that it's not as bad as some people are claiming -- but, it's still early and people haven't fully fleshed the characters out.

Digging the video man, I've been using that alot on people. From what i've gathered so far, it's very depended on the opponents stock of shadow meter and knowing when and when not to use it. Although very useful, sometimes if the timing isn't right they can jump straight up out of it. However, to add to what you were doing, what i've been doing is the second i get a knock down throw out light hail, and then immediately use shatter. It works in two ways, one to ensure that if they jump the hail hits them (sometimes medium or heavy hail are more necessary if you're playing against Sadira) and two that instead of timing when to do the shatter, doing it immediately after throwing it up hail seems to get the timing on the spot. Another useful thing i've been using that i haven't seen a lot is after I hit a blocking opponent the second i touch the ground already have hail buffered so it comes out immediately. This keeps them guessing and the pressure more constant with Glacius. Right now i'm going to the lab to see what the optimized throw into the corner combos are. With his instinct up if you have a life lead, walking yourself into the corner and responding to good reads with a throw can lead to some good combos/mindgames if you throw out hail after throwing them into the corner.
