Learning the icy Killer Instinct character, or want to? In this basic tutorial by New Jersey's Riyo learn the beginning stages of Glacius. From his normal attacks, specials, best anti-airs to how Glacius should be played, this tutorial will help you in deciding if Glacius is the right character for you. If you played Dhalsim in Street Fighter, you may have the right glove for Glacius as well.

hey guys hows the xbox one? I really wanted to get it especially for this game but im finding it very hard to justify spending 100$ dollars more ona console that is less powerful.

id prolly just buy KI for now and i just dont understand why MS would make the x1 less powerful than the ps4 and then sell it for 100$ more because of a sensor device which a large portion of the population does not want..

The power difference between the two consoles is negligible. Don't let that deter you. just look at killzone 3 and Ryse they both look great. Ryse is arguably better looking even on the quote unquote less powerful system.

Ok, I'll step into the troll trap. If you are playing games for the graphics, of which the visual difference is very acute between ps4 and xbone, then you should be playing on a computer anyway...I buy systems not for what they can do on paper, but for the games coming out for them. PS4 has nothing on the way that I'm interested in. If you're one of those guys who likes to game for single player experiences, spending 60 bucks on something you'll beat once and shelf, then go straight to the ps4. I like playing games with my friends, I like the fact that xbone's multiplayer is god like. I'm a L4D guy, not an Uncharted guy. Sure, the extra hundred was a boning. But what does it matter? At least I'll be playing next gen games that I care about, like KI and Titanfall.

Really not trolling.. just really dont understand how microsoft could drop the ball so badly and make their system considerably less powerful than their main competitor. I would never get a pc cus none of my friends play on them.. and some friends have live and others psn so its split there.. I do want KI and titanfall but at the same time im sure ps will come out with some grreat exclusives as well.. If they were equally powerful id buy the xbox in a heart beat but this really bothers me for some reason. Like really youre going to come out with a "next gen" system that stillll cant play full 1080p and charge 100$ more because of a device that youre shoving down our throats. I really want to buy into this cloud processing that supposedly in the near future will make it much more powerful but i heard thats a load of bullshit as well.. Ill probably end up with the x1 in the end just not happy about their console tbh

Riyo How do you feel about using Shatter (the unblockable ice pillar) after a hard knockdown like Glacius sweep vs Jago players? If you time it right only Tiger Fury or Shadow Endokuken can beat it out. Also, the use of Glacius instinct on reaction to a wind kick to combo, I keep getting railed with that damn move over and over. lol
edit: They can also jump out of it.

While not directed at me, I personally think shatter is pretty easy to react to especially on a hard knockdown. I think your best bet is to either set up hail and bait a wake up or a block and then do shatter, or intimidate them by holding the hail. From there you can play mind games with Ice Lance and Shatter.

Have you tried the setup vs Thunder? Only thing he can do is Shadow Ankle Slice (or whatever his low special attack is called). Even his Sammamish will get beat out if you're spaced properly. The universal way to get out is to jump, but if they do that you just activate instinct and free combo on the way down. I like using Hail on Sabrewulfs, itll hit their OH running attack, lol.

On a hard knockdown, you need to utilize either your orb or f+MP for block stun to attempt to land Shatter. Raw shatter is slow. Using Shatter in mid/long range is fine tho. In terms of Instinct vs wind kick, just about timing. Need to time them early enough so you won't get comboed after windkick.

also, if you whiff a counter breaker while doing the ranged auto doubles, how safe are you? can someone like jago punish that with EX wind kick?

No it isn't a true blockstring. After ex hail, all the cast can shadow through it.

I haven't tested it yet vs Jago but you are very safe after attempting to counter break from full range.

What is a thunder to do in this mu? It seems utterly and retardedly in glacius favor. Thunder is too slow not to get chipped away by timed projectiles, kept from the air by long limbs, and unblockable setups. Even samamish, which has projectile invulnerable frames, ends up trading with the stored orb if I connect. Games still extremely new so maybe there's just something I'm missing. But god damn, right now glacius, at least in this mu, is lookin like pre patch superman.
