they didnt win cross tekken at evo either but its a different game now so we dont have to talk about that. they did win marvel at evo but the international players arent really competing in that except for tokido and some others and he wins tourneys in marvel as well I believe. and also dont forget at last years final round some random guy from japan came over and bodied them and called their game ass, this would never happen in Mk.

So I call out the Capcom community. Play MK9, give it as much time as you want. If you can beat REO in a ft10, I will resign as a moderator of TYM, I will leave the FGC, and I will never come back.

The only way they're beating REO is if he throws the match just so I'll leave, lol.

Marvel is ass loved watching them get blowin up by Joe and Raccon but never say never those guys are insane but in all likely hood it won't happen because, for lack of a better term, nobody cares about MK

Fixed. Just because nobody outside of Asia could hack the fact that 3rd Strike wasn't just another play-safe rehash of the SF2 cast and/or Alpha's mechanics until Vanilla SF4 doesn't mean there was nothing else going on in the meantime.

Otherwise you're right, after outside-FGC players dropped MK, it dropped stone cold dead after EVO 2011, hell, this website doesn't even exist anymore, I'm typing this message on a tombstone cache.

All fighting games that don't comply with the Capcom community's ideology of Queensbury rules = dead since 2009.

Capcom games are popular. Popularity doesn't mean quality. Soulja Boi having a career is proof of this.

and 2D fighters are the backbone of the FGC, I agree with the rest of this post, I might not like that Capcom is the backbone but it is and thats not going to change anytime soon

What is he talking about? I'm nowhere near a top player and I beat Justin twice in sets with a 360 controller (which I suck playing on, couldn't even do a Kartwheel sometimes). Is he talking about if they put time and dedication in the game? Well, then they'd simply be high level MK players that came from Capcom, not Capcom players beating MK players.

For those that don't know how Filipino champ works let me tell you a story. I played him on stream at EVO 2009 first EVO for sf4. We played he won and he showboated for the crowd, took my loss and moved on. Later that day, he seeker me out to apologize and said that he was doing it and does things like this to get the crowd hype but he meant nothing personal. He didn't have to seek me out and explain himself, but he did and I've respected him ever since. So for the people that call him a douce and never met the guy let me say that he's not as bad as he out himself to be and most of it is posturing for hype purposes (in this case hyping up injustice)

So take this for what it is, a challenge to the NRS community and step up to the plate!

Seriously. I mean, sure they're great and they've been playing FGs for a bit longer than some of the MK guys, but this isn't Marvel or SF. From what I've heard (and played) this is a game where our MK skills carry over just as much if not more as someone's Capcom skills. And we'll be getting the game at the same time. And we've had MK to allow us to understand the concepts of competitive FGs such as training, finding new tech, etc.... I say bring it.
