EX-slide kick whiff?!

So, I've had this happen to me before, occasionally the 2 kicks following the slide whiff for whatever strange randomized reason and will lose me a match but I just cannot understand why it specifically happens. I've tried to recreate it in the trainer but I cannot find specifically how it happens...is it a glitch or is the move deliberately supposed to have a very low chance of this happening?

This happens to me sometimes too, but I'm pretty sure its only ever in the corner. I can't seem to recreate it in training either.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. It happens in corners when your opponent lands on you as you're sliding.

Well, crap...I've already lost a lot of matches due to this but hopefully I'll remember not to use it in the corner then. It's just impulse to look for an opening when I'm low on life though.

Yeah, this is an issue that happens in the corner. I don't use the EX slide very often (in combos it only adds about 1%,) but try to avoid it near the corners.
