I'm dead serious

I will buy it today if someone were to confirm w me u can do this

From what I've heard sounds like u can't

:(

I go through a ps2 controller every 4-6 months meaning I'd destroy a vita in 6 months

This sucks, mobile Mk would have rocked
I hear where you are coming from Pig but how many hours of game play go into that 4-6 month controller destruction? Chances are you would use the Vita significantly less than the actual console game so you probably wouldn't wreck it nearly as quickly. Plus I believe that it does have a year warranty from Sony if the d pad or the face buttons actually stopped working or something of that nature.

Im hoping that they at least incorporate bluetooth at bare minimum so you can at least sync a ps3 controller with the Vita (which for all I know you can already but I have not dug into the procedure for this).

This being said I am with you on wishing it had a standard USB slot so we could use wired controllers because I play console MK9 on a Hori pad and that would be very useful for me as well.

How would you hold the vita close enough to really enjoy it and the controller at the same time? Maybe rig up some kind of dock device to the top of the controller? Maybe some kind of headband to hang the vita in front of your face? :D

I retract my previous statement. The graphics on close-ups are pretty bad. The game looks fine during normal gameplay though. The game plays like the console one which is nice.

A lot of people are comparing this to UMVC3 or SFXT.. they're cell shaded. Completely different. A tiny texture and a GPU shader versus a large mipmap in device memory just cannot be compared. That's why UMVC3 and SFXT look closer to their console counterparts and why they can get away with a lot happening on screen at once. Their backgrounds are also fairly bland (from a texture point of view) when compared to MK.
