I am so excited for this!
...but really if Curbo plays with VSM than it is just New York vs UK... and no one can realistically survive the NY gauntlet lol. I am tired of seeing blowouts.
What would really be amazing is a 10 man team world cup. South America vs. North America. Europe vs Asia.

A sweet balanced America team would be Reo, Pig, Detroit, Tyrant, and 16 Bit. This team is more area diverse. I think that would be more fun to watch and more particular in uniting the different states of America into one cohesive force!

USA under estimating UK players. Here in the UK no1 works we have no life but mk. MK is the air we breathe the food we eat, USA may have flash tournaments and classy venues, not here tho. Here we play on the streets we play everywhere we can with what we can, ps3s pluged into lamp posts. And foxy glue mustard and ketchup are top of the food chain. VSM USA, whatever has no clue or idea the monsters we are sending to EVO. Beware there bite is much worse than there bark. So forget about your so called glorious wins over 16 bits team because now its a war of nations the time for playing kindergarten in your own backyard has come to a end. Annihilation is inevitable. USA will fall to its mother nation.

Death completely slipped my mind for some reason, but he'd easily be in the running.

RIP Crowley I haven't seen much of, so I wouldn't really know how he stacks up.

This isn't about diversity, it's about forming a team of the five strongest players from each country. If all five of the strongest American players are in New York, then all five of them should be on the team. The fact that you'd even THINK to suggest an American team without CD Jr is ridiculous, considering he's statistically the most accomplished player in the country (actually the entire world, if you want to be technical about it).

I wouldnt say in the entire world. Yeah he is a very solid and good player i agree with that (anyone who wouldnt is mistaken big time) but i havent seen anything that either the UK players and the Greek players havent done already. So saying he is the most technical player in the entire world, without knowing what other scenes are capable also, is a bit of an exagguration.

No, I said he's technically the most accomplished player, which is just fact. I never said he's the most technical. He has the most major tournament victories, therefore he's statistically the most accomplished. It doesn't mean he's necessarily the best, just the most successful.

Woah there cowboy. I did 'suggest' an American team with CDjr....When I mentioned that NY vs UK would be a blowout, thus not as fun to watch?.

The point of my thread was to try and focus the event on making a diverse showcase, not strength. My opinion is that this should be about diversity and not strength. Your opinion is that it is about forming the 'strongest' team. You probably should try and be more respectful with your opinions (it comes off as brash, like you didn't even read what I wrote). Sorry buddy

I just want you guys to know that I would totally donate if A. I had a substantial amount of money
B. I didnt really want Skullgirls.

I really think Curbo should be on team US like 16-bit said. It would definitely increase their chances of winning imo.

Anyone that knows me from the PND sessions knows I'd donate if I could, unfortunately I've got a 2 week holiday in Canada coming up in a few weeks and I'm a bit skint. I'll donate floor space to sleep on for those UK players levelling up from afar.
