That’s a really good bracket.. Looking forward to see how things have evolved at that level over the last few months.

 

Another huge player to keep an eye on is the Sub-Zero player who won a tournament in Brazil to earn a trip to this event. Gy4kutai who defeated KillerXinnok (top 8 at LCQ, won CB for MKX)

Just now finished watching it. Amazing tournament to start the Pro Komp. There were so many characters and Kameos in this tourney which only shows how well balanced MK1 is, including 3 Reptiles on stream, one is yValentim in Top 16 after a reverse 3-0 victory with Reptile/Tremor.

Can't believe that Sonic Fox won with the D2 jump cancel, now it's clear that this move is way more useful than it was before.

Overall, amazing tourney.

And as for T-1000, he looks awesome as expected. Madam Bo Kameo though, I did NOT expect, that was a huge surprise!

The fact that Sonic did the d2 cancel TWICE to end things is nuts. I've seen TheMightyUnjust use it a lot during online tourneys as well. It's not used way too often, but it seems to be gaining a lot more traction, especially since it makes everything unbreakable.

 

Pro Komp MX. One of the best events I have ever been to! Got to meet players I knew about since MK9 like illuminati, the energy was absolutely insane, being an MK only event was the vibe, MK9 at an afterparty, stupidly cheap to eat and do stuff, WB team there went all out for everyone that attended, and so much more! I hope it becomes a mainstay from the team down there. The LATAM players showed up and out too

You looked and sounded like you were enjoying the hell out of yourself. Man, everyone did, to be honest. I'm glad it turned out so well for everyone there. That's what we need more of.

 

It was such a joy to watch illuminati, especially his match against imp. The movement was insane from him - lots of ambiguity and feinting approaches during neutral. I don't know what Kung Lao's gameplay is historically, but illuminati plays a very strike throw-y game with telepathic counter-pokes and clairvoyant micro ducks. I've seen a few Kolosseum streams, but I think the neutral on display at this tournament is at another level all together.
