Equivalents in other games of the genre

This idea sprung up initially because (a) Im looking to maybe get at least somewhat seriously into a couple other games of the genre and (b) I wanted to see what chars would be the best to transition to from my main Kitana, alt Ermac, and backup skarlet.

Then I realized I could just make an identical thread for all the character forums so that ppl could chime in on which chars are similar to play as in other games (or are "parallels")compared to a certain char and what not.

So this is for the sake of advice to those transitioning from the char to another game, and for the sake of just sparking some hopefully interesting discussion on character likenesses across different titles.

Just to clarify, an example might be: Sheeva is to MK what Tager is BBCS2, or ZZangief in SF...etc and then of course expand on why you think so.

Obviously whatever character forum this thread is in will be the character being likened/compared to others from other games.

Back when his knifes were faster, the one character he resembled the most was guile from SF. Quick projectile pressure with a solid anti-air/get off me move. unlike guile, kano didnt get raped by cross ups.

I'd still say Guile is a fairly good comparison. For basically the same reasons you just mentioned.

Id say charlie, only because he's the best

But yea the only issue is his knives are bleh now, and he's a pretty incomplete character

All he needs is around 5 things and he will be perfect

Still love him though

What about Blanka comparisons due to the ball specials? Anything else about Blanka maybe? Not sure myself.

Just becuase he has balls doesn't mean he uses them in the same way, if I'd pick to another character other than Guile/Charlie to compare, it wouldn't be blanks it's be T hawk. T hawks dives, uppercut and horizantol condors fuctions similiar as Kano's, and both have good throws.

So Kano is T hawk with Guiles projectile, just with blanka's animation.

Simply using either of them increases the amount of testosterone on the screen. They bring the swagger.
