Check to make sure mids are actually mids in practice mode. Most jump ins will be very hard to connect against crouching characters in this game, so don't get too reliant on jumping attacks in general. I will lab her crouch properties when I get home from work.
Side note, don't make a habit of jumping in against D'Vorah, her anti-air options are pretty insane.
