Did anyone else get into the Dark Souls 2 Beta?

my favorite weapon is the lightning spear of ornstein, my favorite poking tool in the entire game

I liked Demon's Souls weapons a bit, unfortunately.

Blind, followed by the BlueBlood Sword and Meat Cleaver are definitely my favorite weapons.

I cant imagine why, with the DKS netcode it was impossible to get one already

rolls felt literally the exact same for me

parries have to be done way earlier now

Yo, that beta was crazy hard! I pressed the X button for an hour and I needed to sign in to update it, but I couldn't sign in. HARDEST SOULS GAME TO DATE!!!

I got another invite and my code worked this time, but it seems they are only doing one more test on Nov 7 between 3am and 6am. Didn't confirm the time zone, but it might have been eastern.

Parries are harder. Also off hand weapon attacks are described as too fast to react to. I'd imagine you'd do less damage with a weapon off hand for the trade off of having a faster attack.

FB page says the 9th. They really fucked up with the beta on the last run. I'm just upset because I wasted 2 hours trying to play the damn thing.

I'm gonna remain civil, because I'm rather pissed at how the Beta's been handled (haven't even bothered trying to get in). Having said that, Agility is a new stat that is either confirmed or heavily speculated to affect roll speed and riposte (not parry) speed among other things. But I've heard (don't know specifics) that some stats weren't working properly, so those who didn't notice a difference may not have had anything to notice. Trolls aside, the Gamefaqs Dark Souls is a great place to talk tech and whatnot. Or even just following EpicNameBro\VaatiVija\AGermanSpy on youtube.

So Dark Souls plays like a fighting game in many respects? If so, no wonder the Gamestop employees I talked to couldn't really tell me why this game is so hard to beat, hahaha.
