True. You can still dash your way to victory on some of the lag, but it is more punishable. I use him because I love the counter zoning, the mobility, the mix ups, being able to chase down runaway Smokes, and the character.

Spacing vs. Online Reptile is how I play the MU to stand SOME chance. If you can space yourself fullscreen, most will either dash in for JP, which can be NJP'd. Jump Kick instead if they expect an NJP, which leaves them open for AA. Commit to their elbow dash, which can be blocked and puni--scratch that. Or slide, which = death. Most don't know the meaning of footsies, and are too dash happy. The two I play a lot have adapted to my shenanigans though. =P
Meh I tried Stryker a bit, doesn't really fit my style. I'm actually getting half decent though I almost beat Milky's Cage tonight with her lol.
All my characters went from hardly picked to OMG broken I gotta play them too status in the last little while one by one. Still don't think Sonya is as broken as people say. Morty Seinfeld who is the best Sonya player according to alot of people got 17th in MLG she certainly didn't destroy everyone.
Sonya used to be my own unique character when I started playing her a few months ago. Now too many people do, and that's just disappointing.

I have played MS Geee before on XBL, and I've beat her. It was a couple of months back so maybe she got better, who knows. I honestly don't find Kabal to be one of Sonya's worst matches anyways, I find people like Kenshi, Reptile or Noob much more troublesome online in lag for her.
Kabal is so tough (played some hard ones on XBL and PS3, sighs). Reptile is easy unless the player (ahem... Temjiin) runs away and spams green. Noob Saibot is an ass that runs away, if you could get to him Sonya does massive damage. Kenshi has not been a problem for me... so I might want to run a few matches with Faded D who spams with Kenshi, I did beat his Kenshi with Sonya in our Tag Matches BUT I want to test her out 1v1 against his zoning runaway Kenshi, including I want to see his runaway Jax who spam ground pounds and purple waves I assume he does that too XD
That tag match was so bs. Glad our connection was better in 1v1. Hopefully it stays that way. lol.
