D4 is Funky as Hell

Odd instance about a week and a half ago. I was playing my buddy's Cage. I was down to no life, back nearly against the wall while Cage was about halfscreen off. I read that he was going in for an EX shadow kick to end the round and in a panic I threw out a d4. EX kick passed through me and I got a full corner punish and took the match. Does this normal have some wizardly properties I'm unaware of? I didn't even think that was possible.

If you low hit johnny while hes doing a shadow kick, thats just what happens

i dunno about every character though

Well I know that his armor is inconsistent, but he didn't absorb a hit, he just flew through me. Her hitbox is low but I was under the impression that EX kick was pretty much unavoidable on the ground.

Nope, hes really vulnerable to low attacks when it comes to his specials
