Despite the extremely forgettable tournament name, "fighting game tournament" was a memorable event for most of us.The MKX squads from Buffalo, Toronto, and some from Cleveland all met, great matches were played, and meals were eaten in nice United States sized portions. I'm sure we did GameOn, our super modern venue proud, testing their ability to run their largest and loudest event yet.
Our top 3:
1: Cr HoneyBee (Swarm Queen D'Vorah)
2: Doctor Stab (Impostor/BoneShaper Shinnok, Relentless Jason, Cybernetic Kano)
3: Cr Biohazard (Lackey/Ruthless Ferra Torr, Relentless Jason)
Enjoy the bracket money and pot bonus!
(will update with full results later.)
The stream archives are a little bit disorganized right now, but: this includes casuals between Manny Manito and Roberto, and MonkeyBizness vs WinterWarz, as well as three pools matches: BFGC ChefBoyAreDiesel VS Cr Honeybee, Cr Biohazrd VS Paul Firanelli, and BFGC MonkeyBizness VS Frogman.

The first two hours and 35 minutes of this stream is all MKX tournament matches, through to the top 8.

The most interesting development of a rivalry comes from MonkeyBizness vs WinterBarz/Warz.
Were the streamed casuals where MonkeyBizness usually won conditioning? Did MonkeyBizness fall down? Did Warz pop off too hard? There's a lot to consider in both their Kung family matches, and Jax VS Temp Lao.
Hell, winter warz created a rivalry with my whole family, after beating my brother in the mirror match and then botching the handshake so horribly that my younger brother had to leave the building in shared embarassment.
That match starts at 5:39:47 here.
For the rest of the exhibition after that, the audio is desynchronized from the video.

Some personal notes: Buffalo showed Toronto that our scene is no joke, despite not making any top 3s.
The many, many non tournament matches we played showed that our scenes are speaking the same language in-game, at least. Buffalo is a little bit behind in the aggression and option select meta, but Toronto's performance should kickstart us.
I'm super proud of my brother for flawless-ing Honeybee once... then still losing the match. I did the same once. was he sandbagging? damn, good stuff everybody.
I'll get myself to Toronto soon, we need to return Toronto's favor.
Hoping especially to meet Doctor Stabs in bracket, I want to test my Bone Shaper experience against him while Bone Shaper lasts.
I also only got to play Biohazard's commando Kano in a matchup that I feel I have to do well in and did do: Jin VS Kano. I'll get to play against your practically trademarked lackey Ferra/Torr soon!
