It was showing up I had the current version of the game as well, but the compatibility patches were installed in a different place. That is why I think I could play the game but couldnt get online because my "online version" was not compatible with everyone else's version.

I see. I'll have a look at it, but like I said, I don't have any external hard drive for the updates to download into. And as far as I know, you can't manage specific updates to a game within the hard drive. If you know how, please do tell otherwise I'll have a crack at it later today
Yeah I know, I wasn't sure if it was because I was playing on wifi or not though, as I recently learned that's not a good idea for online fighters lol
You should still switch to wired. Wireless gaming is nonsense anyways.

I think this is a separate problem. On xbox.com/status it says they are doing a scheduled maintenance right now, which is probably why the faction servers thing is coming up. Destiny players are apparently having the same problem.

Well connecting to the same connection wireless or not doesn't solve the issue. It has to be a separate connection and it'll probably still work if wired.
Thank you for that. It's quite concerning that despite what MS have been saying and the fact that it's over a month that this started happening, it seems they're only hearing about it now. Doesn't mean that other guys don't know and aren't working on something, but at least now we know one of the head honcho's are aware.

Well to me an issue is an issue, what issue are you having exactly? I've had of late minor issues with freezing at times but if I restart my xbox it usually fixes it.
