I'm lacking any kind of Oki. I end most mid screen combos in DF21 or stop at a 22 reset, sometimes with the Shujinko FK added. Any offensive tips here would be great.

Practicing clean BF3 cancels has paid off big in getting my opponent to bite in footsies, opening up a lot of wiff punishes.

BF3 linked to F21, F211 and 22 have all been great. Pretty safe options if you aren't predictable with them. Great in the corner since it leaves you +1 at point blank. Cancel option isn't terrible either, but it is punishable if your opponent has a hard read on it.

Liking the Shujinko pairing. Very few matchups were he feels bad, but getting great damage for no meter is always welcome. Leaving meter for breaker.

I'll update this with any tech or tips I think of, feel free to contribute.

How do you feel about using/staggering B122 to potentially break the armor on wakeup attacks? 99% sure I'm actually playing this game now and SHONAN is my team, and this was the first thing that came to mind.

My biggest concern is his lack of good wakeup options, but I'm also way behind, so I could be overlooking something.

I'll try it out. I rarely use that string atm

EX BF3 is a good wakeup sometimes. DF2 is fast at least, and with good vertical coverage. I'm not really worried about have a great wake up option or not.

The Shujinko team is starting to show its problems vs characters like Ashra and Takeda. Getting lamed out and out ranged sucks. Thinking about learning Khameleon for matchups like that.

Either her, or Sareena. One of my favorite things about him/what I think makes this team so good is the amount of time he eats up with his grabs and specials, and that would pair up really well with her Meter spells. But Khameleon gives you way more just by virtue of the faster recharge.

B12 is the truth. I feel like it has a LOT of utility, and it doesn't push people into awkward ranges like F211 can do.

Thinking about it, having a good wakeup attacks would be greedy given the existence of BF3. He can't have everything.

I've done some play testing with Sareena and her recharge just feels a bit slow. Khameleon is kinda low damage though and the health drop is rough.

Mavado is another solid pick I think. Getting the back Kameo knock down is nice for the rough matchups. Easy conversions and good damage as well

Did a lot of play testing with different Kameos today.

Sareena: kinda ok, helps vs people with longer range buttons. Recharge rate is too slow for my liking.

Mavado. Very good. Converting awkward hits like a jump back 3 into full combo is very nice. Combo damage is solid. Throw combos are very good. Back Kameo against zoning or characters that out range you helps get something started. Down Kameo solves my Oki problem.

Khameleon: Maybe not for me. Very good utility but damage is on the low side and managing her transition timing led to awkward drops and missed openings.

Sektor: throw combos are insane. 26% no meter for regular throw. 40-50% off the string throws. Solid utility that we all know Sektor provides. Safe chip string with up rocket is nice. Slightly lower damage than normal when using Back Kameo for meter less conversions.

Stryker: easy 50% off of both string throws. Recharge time is much slower than Sektor though. Better mix-up on the string throws since you can easily make the mid option safe on block and launch on hit. Combo damage is pretty typical, maybe slightly above average.

Tremor: Still exploring. Hard-to-Blockable from the B122 string seems promising. Good general utility. Good combo damage. Safety if needed. Extra health ofc. Combo from 22-throw feels very strict, 40%ish damage. Only get a decent combo from back throw when in the corner I think.

Madam Bo: Still exploring. The low option is ok, nice to have a mix option I guess. Back Kameo low is also a good wiff punishers sometimes. Best thing so far is the neutral skip, for fights where your opponent has better range or is zoning you out. Just follow behind a bottle throw with BF3, cancel as needed. Safe wake-ups thanks to bottle toss. Combo damage might be good, probably better routes that I don't know.

Shujinko kinda fell off after today. Looking at Sektor, Madam Bo, Tremor and Mavado as my #1.

Conan/Bo lowkey seems really solid. Having dash cancels off normals like f2 is pretty cracked. Also really easy to set up drinks since his b12 string groundbounces aerial opponents. Stuff like 11->back kameo->b2->j123 db2->b12 drink is unpunishable by most of the cast. I think only johnny shadow kick and maybe T1000 spike can punish it.

Nice. I haven't played around with the drinks yet.
