Revet must've outplayed the SHIT outta you bro, that's a shit matchup for Cheetah so good for him. Don't take your weak Deadshot play out on me.
this is obviously the case.
i think he is getting owned by pounces and blood lounges only.
i would love to see those matches lmao

Thank you internet. This thread is funny as shit! I'm dying! I just asked for his take on the matchup.

With all this "Cheetah has zero bad matchups" talk I better see a shit ton of Cheetahs at Evo. At least 5 in top 16.

I'd love an explanation on how Cheetah totally obliterates Deadshot and apparently every top 10 character.

The thing with Cheetah, is she is all or nothing.

If your opponent is playing comfortable and doesn't make silly decisions and punishes yours its very difficult to get your game going.

In tournament if the opponent isn't ready for it, Cheetah can overwhelm you with random divekicks, mb f3s and tick grabs. Sometimes if you are really not ready she will do lunge cancels out of on hit strings into more pressure and get away with it.

Everything Cheetah does is with risk unless you opt for very small damage trades, which can be unfavourable in match-ups where you have to work to get in.

There won't be too many Cheetahs around at Evo, but she is capable of taking games even in poor match-ups just because of the nature of the character.

I've lost a number of games when I went high cmd instead of low command and got punished by a training partner. Its just how she is!

I can show you better than I can tell you, what's your psn
Surely you can explain? If you have to do it in game then there's a very real possibility you're just outplaying your opponents. Ofc she can win if you make the right reads or your opponent makes mistakes but when comparing match ups you have to look at both characters being played at the very highest level and how their tools stack up, where they have options, what they can do to neuter the others options etc. Perhaps I'm wrong in my thinking.

Okay I'll explain.

Cheetah needs to take risks

I don't play Deadshot so I don't know how that would help, and I'm not always home to play. I'm not doubting your ability but you can't do a simple write-up?

I just have a very hard time believing that matchup is in Cheetah's favour when you look at both of their tools.

Pretty sure Deadshot can't really contest lunges. I think that is a big part of him struggling in that matchup.

Finally, someone who says something more than "she wins just because!".

She can't lunge under rifle shot, so does his air gunshot/trick shot not stop her leap mid air in time? Is that what gives him problems?

Why not? j1 and d2 seem to work fine. Also, the retreating machine gun stops her full screen pounce.
You'll have to ask Circus and Revet, but I'm pretty sure she can bait the D2 and punish if she does close pounce. Same with J1. And if he's watching for that he can't do his normal zoning because then he risks getting pounced still.

I mean I don't play the matchup that much but I can at least see where they are coming from.

Once I'm in his face I feel it's in cheetah's favor but what pattern do yall use to get in? If deadshot does straight shot optimally... I feel I don't have time to go into stance and 1 out of 5 times my lunge isn't stuffed. I inch forward until I'm close enough to do something and I have to stay in to win. One mistake and the whole process starts over again. Other players are making it sound like Cheetah has a win button in the matchup but no one will say what it is.
