Ever like a game enough you were willing to just like speed run dat bitch?

I think the only game I truly can speed run is Metroid: Zero Mission. I can beat the game under an hour any% and getting all hints.

Hah. I actually got close to unassisted world record time on Zero Mission once given how much I played it. Pretty much was the only thing I had on my GBA SP for a long time, and during a point when I had a lot of free time to fiddle around with a portable console.

I used to be pretty fast in the other Metroidvanias too. I burned through Symphony of the Night in ludicrous time once after getting a lucky Crissaegrim drop.

I've gone through Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow in two hours getting 99% of the map done. I love that game!

Final Fantasy IV for PSP. Not a true speed run, it was more of a casual run since I did a lot of side quests, but after the credits, I finished in just 9 hours.

I used to be able to somewhat speed run Sonic 2.

Rush'n Attack on both arcade/XBLA and NES I can for sure speed run, if I really tried. Once I get my laptop fixed and get an Elgato, I may bust out an XBLA speed run attempt for the hell of it.

Contra and Super C for NES, I could attempt, though I'm so insanely rusty at the games that completing them on one life is difficult for me.

Though not speed runs, I can attempt high scores for Double Dribble on NES.

Damn zero mission is the best you should try doing a low percent run beating the mother brain is fun with 99 life 5 missiles and a short range blaster

Nahhh. I've had my fill of Zero Mission to last a lifetime, hahaha.
Fusion then, 0 percent there is actually quite easy, full percent is where you have do all those crazy dash run morphing ball cancels. Did you record by any chance?

Nope, my best run ever was playing it in the back of my brother's car on a trip to visit my grandparents ages ago. I set my mind to just slamming through it as fast as possible and got my personal best on the second run through during the trip. I never really set out to beat the record specifically anyways, I just know that I came pretty darn close - don't even remember how close anymore.

Metroidvania is so much fun, best advantage of taking the bus while you have a ds or game boy.

Speed runs that abuse glitches for me are fun if they are not too broken (think mario64 backwards jump shenanigans). In this respect half life 2 TAS is incredibly fun to watch and see players plan each route and abuse reverse bunny hopping to fly across the map. Il go find the vid and post it.

Get on that hook
Megaman X5, Crash Bandicoot Warped, Halo 3 LASO(Legendary all skulls on), Halo Reach LASO, Binding of Isaac(It's a rogue-like, so it's very situational), and others I can't think of ATM

GET CITY.
I've been speedrunning shit for a while and have held various records (Mario 64, SotN, Quake 100% and non-100%, Metroid Prime, Megaman X, Yoshi's Island a-la Trihex), but the only game I'm still actually putting time into is Dark Souls (mostly all boss runs). Even then, I haven't touched it in a while because I can't play without just wanting to PvP instead.

Only game that I've ever tried to speed run was the original Strider in the arcade at GGA. I don't remember what my time was, but it wasn't enough to beat the record there.

MegaMan X

Can't remember the exact time but it was under an hour. Love that game so much.
