I used to think Sindel wasn't broke because I felt like f4 stagger was fake and scream cancel is fake, people can seem to just mash d1 on reaction and stop both, but her mix is really annoying you react to f2 which is hard and kinda a mix in that of itself cause she has a b2 and then you have to guess again.

I hate how NRS buff philosophy is to just slap on staggers and 5050s. They did it to raiden. Every sindel i fight in KL is just like playing Guess simulator. I gotta guess high or low. Then she has cancels on top of it. Sub zero been doing it since day one.

This game was advertised as neutral based, but we're missing the two fundamental parts of neutral: footsies and whiff punishing. We just mashing pokes to steal turns and shove staggers and 5050s down each other's throats. It's awful.

Run up on a Kabal or good Kitana and claim that neutral and footsies/whiff punishing don't exist in this game.

I see maybe 1 kitana a month. Kabal maybe 3 times a month. Everybody too busy trying to play rushdown. I wish could fight a good kitana or kabal, because that's what I'd like to see.

Lol so Sindel is broken because she has an UNSAFE mixup that doesn’t even launch or lead to combos?

this site sometimes man lol
Normally I'd be on board with the adapt or die crowd. But as a zoning/defense player in a game where thst style isn't the best, I'm destined to have a bad time.

Imagine deciding you only play one style in all fighting games no matter how they play. That’s crazy.

But there are still characters to pick that favor that style. We just watched Rewind win NA west by backdashing 5 times in a row and throwing stuff, playing one of the best characters in the game.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, bud. All styles should be viable. That's a sign of a well balanced game. Most defensive characters that aren't cetrion typically don't see success because of how offense heavy mk11 is.
Grr also seems to be doing pretty well running away, putting up clones and sand trapping. There's another option for you if you want that playstyle.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but would you care to elaborate?
Tom Brady hates the game because the wakeup system directly challenges his main play style of heavy oki, but despite the memes there's still scenarios where they're gassed out of meter and have no wakeup.

These play styles are less effective than in the past but still viable when you've got the conditions set.

Crimson also has a point in that it's kinda wack to only stick to a single play style.

Not really look at the high level play tournament you really don’t see Kitana skarlet or robocop I don’t centrion because she have really good offense.
That's more of a specific character issue than a runaway/zoning play style issue.

Less effective is an understatement. I agree when Tom says all wakeup options are ways to rob turns and hunt combo starters. If you respect the wake up and try to poke, you get flawless block u2'd. All of that feels bad, but if we had defensive equivalents it'd be better.

There are characters in the game who can ignore the wakeup system entirely, so if that part of the game is enough of an issue for someone, a suggestion I agree with would be to play as those characters.

I really don't like this. Whale is suggesting that in order to get the most out of the game we need to play characters that break the wake up system. Crimson is suggesting that I want a pure runaway with ANY character in ANY game.

You guys are missing the point entirely. The mechanics in this game cater to offense only. The only defensive option is back roll. Everything else is used to hunt combos and steal turns. But that would totally fine if we had a DEFENSIVE EQUIVALENT. Let's say I flawless block an attack, right. Why can't I use my meter to push them away from me? That makes more sense as a defensive option than a launcher. That's all I'm saying.
