Ed Boon appears to be on something of a pre-spring spring clean, Tweeting pictures of some fairly nostalgic stuff recently, such as backstage pass for the extraordinarily cheesy Mortal Kombat Live Tour:
The real item of note, however, has undoubtedly been the notes from a brainstorming session that would one day result in Mortal Kombat 3's versus screen. The notes includes precursors to Kombat Kodes, contains a sketch that bears close resemblance to what the versus screen would turn out to be and notes "look into GamePro/VGC".
As Boon says even though it feels like a lifetime ago, it was actually only 23 years ago. But MK's come a long way since then. The MK3 versus screen would end up looking like this:
Does just seeing that give you as big a nostaliga buzz as it does us?
