The 1st weekly of season 4 started off small; with only 7 players. Despite the rainy weather we still had players that traveled a long way and the hype was still real. Of course, we ran a Round Robin for those in attendance.
DrGoodBear took a commanding lead in points for much of the bracket, winning almost all sets 3-0. Meanhwile, Mr.Nauj trudged through his sets unsure of himself. But as the bracket progressed he slowly picked up steam. The wildcard of the night was PoserPaul with his refined Unbreakable Sub. He would even come back from a set or two while down 0-2.
In the end, Mr.Nauj & DrGoodBear both ended with a record of 5-1 in sets. But the points were also accrued based on total games won. Mr.Nauj would take a command 1st place finish with 17 points. And I managed to sneak in to 2nd place with 16 points; barely edging out Dr.GoodBear's 15 points. RIP GoodBear.
Next Time...
Perhaps more scrubs will dust off their controllers for next week. Certainly the rain kept many players away, but we'll see what happens!
