It is trust me I have been hitting most of it very consistently. I just need to figure out exactly how to do the the ccross up dive kick off the normal jump in. The rest I know you can hit consistently for a fact. This is dope, if this turns out to be a consistent thing, this has some potential.
Ah yes, I remember getting owned by you lol. I just started playing this game, but you're the only other Black Adam I've seen online.I don't remember you but I ran in to you a few times today in ranked match. ggs.
Have you tried to do 113 instead of another 22b1? Another string to try would be 13, this one causing a hard knockdown. I can already imagine all sorts of tricky setups with different strings, but for now I am perfecting Black Adam's comboes that have rather odd timing. He has so much potential to do damage but I really need to stop dropping it, especially online. Some midscreen bomb trap setups I came up with:
Inspired by Smarrgasm's corner bomb trap setup.
I didn't realize it at first but 2,2,b1 is special cancellable which means it's a legit string for hit confirming. On block cancel into Lightning Storm to remain safe (actually the string itself is pretty safe at -5 but ending with storm does chip and puts you at -3). On hit you can dash into another 2,2,b1 or 1,1 xx black magic. In this case I'm cancelling the second 2,2,b1 into bomb or black magic into bomb. In the latter setup black magic can't be buffered, you have to manually time it.
1:43 - this is with max corner carry using the trait: j2, 1,1 xx trait, 2,2 xx black magic, dash twice, 2,2,b1, dash, 2,2b1 xx bomb/black magic.
That was really the only thing I was going to say about the video lol. I saw orbs so little, other than that those were some solid looking matches. Good stuff dude.A few matches from last night:
After watching these again I realized I almost never use orbs. I should activate orbs more often in neutral. During pressure half of the time I try to cancel strings into trait but it just rarely comes out for whatever reason. And when orbs do decide to come out it's late so it doesn't combo. It's really annoying me. :/
Couldn't record my matches vs Zyns which is unfortunate. I won the last one thanks to a Clash that I lost on purpose lol it was pretty cool.
Dont bother, the chip damage is shit on them even if you get the 12%. You want your orbs for cancelling on block into huge + frames, or hitconfirming into 40%+. Theres no reason to use his orbs neutral unless your opponent has a pixel left.Yeah I basically gave up trying to use Orbs in combos/pressure online. 80% of the time it messes up what I'm trying to do. Whether I'm trying to combo or do a frametrap the Orbs just don't listen to my command lol. I just stand there mashing on 4 looking like an idiot and nothing comes out.. I never have this problem offline/in practice mode.
So from now on I think I'll just activate trait when I'm in neutral.
I wouldn't give up on orbs in combos. I did the same thing last week and it came back to bite me when I fought Awesomo at WNF. If you get the timing down, you can get a 54% punish combo every time the other player messes up within range of your b2. And your orbs come back before you even finish the combo. I rarely see Adam's do this, and it's pretty insane how much of a difference it makes.Yeah I basically gave up trying to use Orbs in combos online. 80% of the time it messes up what I'm trying to do. I wouldn't say that.Theres no reason to use his orbs neutral unless your opponent has a pixel left.
22b1 is pretty bad on block, i would confirm either 22~orb if your traits up, or 22b1~shocker if they are blocking and you either dont have orbs, or are saving them for something.I wouldn't say that.
Having Orbs active, just like having a close/mid bomb on the ground can be used an effective deterrent when playing footsies/zoning. Like you said, it does very little chip but it's still 4% on hit. Nobody wants to get hit by a free 12% so just the fact of having Orbs active can encourage your opponent to back away or block.
But yes ideally you want to use them for fishing mid-range hit confirms and frametraps with 2,2,b1 or 1,1,3.
