What did you MB ? Take Down sweep?

I have seen some wierd things go over a Nutpunch, and a Flip Kick, both charged and armoured.
When fistbump is enabled his grab does 17% damage, yes.
But the speedbag only got 1 frame shaved from startup, which is very disappointing. Nrs is afraid to buff him properly.

Fisticuffs- Seems to be still -3 on block but 7 frame startup. Chip buff seems so startup much faster. Stunt double all I know is there's like a second less cool down before you can get your mimics.
7 frame startup? In the pause menu it's listed as 10. I doubt it's 7 frames, man, I'm playing FC every day, I would have noticed that I think...

But I hope you are right xD

Anyone smart can punish you for trying to EX shadowkick from full screen, and many times it doesn't even get you in, they can still retreat and keep spacing you out. And trying to win a zoning war with forceballs against certain characters... You will lose. I'm not saying Johnny is now hopeless against zoning now, but he will have to work harder to get in and start his pressure, especially with breakers leaving him without stamina, his most vital resource.
The fact that he has the treat of EX shadowkick makes it easier for him to get in than other characters... In order to punish it you have to read and neutral duck which means you'd have to stop throwing projectiles at him... It's a mindgame.

D4 still low profiles Kung Lao's F2 every time, so for Kung Lao players, it hasn't been nerfed. :(

pre Beta listed as 11 Frame start up, thats something at least
You have to see the full picture. When many characters with 9 or 8 frame pokes are getting them reduced to 7 or even 6...
Fisticuffs is hurted, even with that 1 frame shaved. Shaving 1 frame from b1 while you help a lot of characters' pokes in more than 1 frame, is the same as nerfing Fisticuffs.

Overall, we can consider Fisticuffs, after the patch (if nrs does not give him something more in march) will be in the same situation or even worse than he is now in the main game. He got the grab buff, yeah, but his d4 got nerfed, his b2 is not special cancelable, and his speedbag is practically the same while many chars are getting better pokes to escape from it.

Fireball is already a top projectile and shadow kick gets you a full screen in.

To anyone complaining...Level up dudes.
Depends on which variation you are talking, because SD has a hell of a time against Kang for his zoning as his low fireball low profiles his projectile and SK

Johnny is probably gonna have a hard time dealing with zoning with the update to breakers. You can zone him out all day, build meter and as soon as he touches you just break and make him work his way back in without stamina. Saltface did this to me with his mileena and it made me realize how big of a change the breaker update is.
this is why i hate what they did to liu's run cancel meter building.
liu can take the nerf and survive, he's a big boy, but if they do this to literally any other run cancel character they might die

Cage is still brilliant, he's been my secondary for a long time and he's seriously got out of this patch better than I expected him to. As others have said the biggest nerf to him was the breaker system, but compared to what the other top tiers have got he's came put of this pretty good.

He has still kept all of his core tools that made him great before, his F3, his pressure, his counter zoning and even though D4 was nerfed, it still low profiles and still guarantees pressure on hit.

He has a few bad MUs, like any character should, but I think he's came out looking better in comparison to the rest of the cast than he did pre-beta.

Exactly, and what people fail to realise is that because it's guaranteed you can get the opponent so scared to press buttons you can just 333xxSKRC all day and get hella chip and meter building.

johnny's b3 is a mid i believe and f2 is an overhead.
lao's b3 is a mid and f2 a mid i believe(if this was a high i would never touch lao)
If this is the case him having b3 as a mid is enogh, he shouldn't have f2 as a mid. I think it isn't though.

Personally, I believe Johnny could be the best character in the beta so far. He has so many mix-ups it makes it nearly impossible to guess right and if you want to just keep blocking you take chip and 113 or 1 F2 Is almost a 50/50 on a blocking opponent. Once you get your opponent blocking by doing his guaranteed pressure you can start doing stuff that isn't guaranteed. Also, once you run out of stamina you can use MB forceballs for more plus on block where you can continue your pressure. As far as zoning goes anybody can escape zoning with patience.

113 / 1, f2 is NOT a 50-50. Not even close. You can actually punish anyone trying to do 1, f2 by doing any fast string that leads to a combo after you block 1.

And no, he can't pressure you for days because even if he does a blockstring for some chip after ex forceballs you are not forced to block anything...there are tons of options.

Exactly. This is a top 5 character in the entire game. Execution heavy but they are starting to emerge in the tournament scene as I expect dragon fires to do in the next year.

Do u guys know when mmh won his first major? Ya... Well into the second year of the game. Ended up being number 1

Idk if anybody mentioned this but I mb'd a blocked nutpunch on a crouching Scorpion and it whiffed right over him, never seen that in my life. Can anybody confirm this?
No the Scorpion was crouching and I nutpunched him and when I meterburned it, it went over him
You mean this?


Some friends of mine reported that this also happens against Sub-Zero. Might be just a bug, needs more testing.
