Best beginner char theory?

Hello. I'm looking for a great starting char in Injustice. While serfing gaming forums I've found three "best character for beginners" theories:

1) It's best to pick the "cheap guys". I don't mean it in a bad way. Many new players need to gain confidence in a game, so their best choice = easy execution + high damage.

2) You need a "learning char" for starters. Best example I can think of is Ryu in many Street Fighter games. He usually has all the tools for winning (high or mid tier), but you NEED to learn the fundamentals to win with him (footsies, spacing, matchups, etc.) or you'll get punished badly for every special move he has. Plus Ryu is a char you won't have to leave later on, he's completely viable... Something like that.

3) Hard way is the only way. A less popular theory that states you need to start from the bottom and pick some low tier, so that when you move on to better chars later it'll be like easy mode.

I don't have much time to practice and my local community consists mostly of higher level player, so I like to be confident in my beginner choices. What theory in your opinion is best for Injustice and what character fit beginner level best and why?

You inspire no fear.
Play with whoever interests you the most/like the best. Mess with everyone in training mode, if you like the 'feel' of a character then go with them. Everyone plays differently.

Why? Is he simple or balanced? Right now I don't have the game with me to check him out.
He's pretty damn simple for the most part. He doesn't have any overly complex things about him like some characters do. He's pretty straight forward and easy to pick up. What's best about that is the fact that he pisses off a looooot of people due to his two most commonly used moves: MB Venom and Earth Shaker.

If you do pick him up and are prepared to actually get good with him, I hope you can tolerate lots of hatemail. :p

You've been warned.

You don't want to pick up a complex character if you don't have too much time to dedicate or you will get discouraged. But you also want to pick someone who is fun to piss people off with.

It gives me such joy when I make people start bitching through their mic, rage quit, send me hatemail, challenge me to a FT3/5 and then get bodied.

As far as just being simple to pick up off the bat?
Doomsday, Superman, or Bane.
Their matchups become more complex the more you learn, but at the start, they're all pretty simple to dive into.

So everyone here basically favors the theory #1 - easy and strong are best for beginners?
Hatemails are always fun to read :DOGE

Sounds like a personal problem to me ;)
He's really easy to use. My Aquaman today is still no different than my Aquaman when I very first picked him up in July. There is nothing to really learn besides his BnB's and ending all his blockstrings with HHWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm all for new players picking up Bane. His combos have huge execution windows and deal good damage, even without venom. New players will learn how armor works and how to mix-up. He has no gimmicks that doesn't involve being up close.

Batman. stay away from deathstroke, doomsday and aquaman.
you want to choose a character that is good and not too cheap.
take doomsday for example, all you need is shaker and super nova to do well.
w/e you learn with doomsday will not transfer to the cast, that's if you learn anything.
I did a school paper introducing newbies to injustice and how to choose a main, I might link it later on.

Uh...Supernova? WHAT? You mean that thing that anyone who's worth their salt knows to dash forward or MB b3 it? >_>

You just might be meaning MB Venom. Or I hope you are, at least.

And what you learn with Doomsday (or any character for that matter) is how to defend against all the other characters if you actually put time into improving. Blocking habits can be used from one character to the next. I'm sure there are a few situations where this changes due to different sized characters, but the point still stands.

All you have to learn when switching to a new character other than playing as them is how to go on the offense against other characters.

new players don't know how to punish nova, or any whiff punishing.
the way doomie combos work does not translate very well to other characters, batman is the complete opposite.
the blocking is universal, newbies will learn that no matter the character.
I love the DD character design, but newbies that wish to become better players need to stay away from him.

PS: venom is probably a better choice than nova l0l

Don't play doomsday, how do you expect to learn to get through zoning with other characters when he has ridiculous mobility and armour during it?

Play aquaman, teaches basic zoning, hit confirming, risk/reward mixups with his trait and mixups with f1 delayed scoop/3 and helps learning to account for the opponent's trait when punishing when you notice people don't uppercut you out of some things but instead allow you to escape using trait.
