Baraka Chop Chop glitch?

I was going through the challenge tower to help me learn to play on a stick, and at 251 I commonly came across this, and am wondering if its a glitch.

I would have Tsung jump over Baraka, and the CPU would to the CC or X-CC. I'd land on the other side (so he's facing left, I'm on his right), and then suddenly I'm being hit by the move in front of him. Whats weirder is that Tsung is facing the wrong way. That is, even though Tsung is on the left of the screen now, the hit animation is that as if he were on the right, so he's being stabbed in his back.

I've also had Baraka turn around after I jumped over this move as well. Seems odd, I don't think anyone else has a move like that where they'll actually turn around once started.

Chop chop auto corrects... sometimes. It's a very random move, and seems to have different properties at times. Also its hitbox is gigantic.

I think chop chop (along with a couple other moves) autocorrecting was fixed for the next patch. (could have dreamt it tho)

Thanks guys. Sounds like its not supposed to work that way, but at least I'm not the only one experiencing it. Didn't happen the first time through the tower (PSN was down, so I was unpatched). So the upcoming patch is supposed to correct this?
