Okay, this hate for ranking system is absolutely ridiculous. First of all, it allows tournaments to seed players correctly. At this point, we have to do it based on # of players. So the list should look like: winning 40-60 players= 10 points, 2nd= 5 points, 3rd=4 point, 4th=2 point top 8=1 point. Winning 60-80 players=14 points and so on. When the top 20 players list is created, the tournaments after will be based on number of players and top 20 players in that tournament. Example, if every 5 top 20 go into a tournament then that tournament will be given +1 point to top 8. Since the list is only listed for seeding purposes, the ranking stays for half of the year (6 months).
This classification of "what is a regional" and "what is a major" is absolutely ridiculous. As of right now, regionals can have more players than majors. PS: This is not the perfect system yet, just my take on it for ideas.
The thing is, even though the list is inaccurate right now. We have to start somewhere to build. As the game goes on, the list will be accurate over time
