So I went to the lab and tested f223 into blood wall for the last hour and the restand is actually really easy to pull off. U only need to press f4 just as the last overhead lands and it will restand the opponent.
So on hit it restands the opponent with +54. Even if I didn't time the blood wall as late as possible for the restand (I recorded atrocitus), I could never d1 my way out of the next f2 coming in with superman on the defense (assuming it is timed right after plus frames). f3 didn't work that well tho, I think its because there are still some recovery frames left of the 2nd overhead so u have to factor that in. Getting the f2 to beat out the d1 as easily as I did still means ur at least +15 or so..
On block this move behaves really weird tho.. I recorded atrocitus doing the blood wall as late as possible after the 2nd overhead causing the restand on hit. I went on 2nd player and tried to block it and for some reason on block the blood wall hits slightly before the overhead meaning there are no plus frames, but ur -15, like normally. I think thats due to the blood wall's hitbox. That was kinda disappointing I was really looking forward to spamming f223 into blood wall on block lmao
So basically this means u can restand ur opponent on hit for more mixup (for example if ur low on meter and want to build some) because the opponent ABSOLUTELY HAS to block anything coming in if ur timing isn't off after the plus frames (mine was sometimes lol).
I have
not found any way until now to make that restand work in combos, if anyone does that would be absolutely GODLIKE. +15 restand for atrocitus sure sounds better than those puny +3 restands off of b23, since the vomit restand doesn't work the whole cast.
All in all, I think there might be some use to it. I will definitely try to smash some 'i-spam-d1-after-ur-plus-frames'-skulls in the corner
sry for the long post I tried to be thorough
