Assassins Creed: Black Flag Hype Thread

It established an IP, the MP was relatively consistent while the story was meant to tie ups Ezio and Desmond's story.

They should change the pursuer/target mechanics, pursuer always winning is fucking bull

Pursuer should win. It says you're the hunted and they are your hunter. If they make it obvious that they are coming at you there are ways to keep people from killing you. Pursuer doesn't always win if you stun them. I preferred a well thought out and tactful approach to assassinating your targets, but unfortunately the game can't compensate for retards who think the game is a free roam parkour course.

Edit: On topic: I haven't seen much from the game, but if they indeed made the ship mechanics much better (which is really the selling point of the game) it should be pretty cool. I'm holding off on getting any more games in general because of the next gen consoles coming out.

not when I clearly strike first and then they have a ridiculously big window to make me hold an 'honorable death'

Oh that part, then yea. I thought you meant in general. They are more powerful than you are, it's supposed to give you incentive to blend in and not be a rooftop jumping, light pole swinging monkey. I've had some pretty good MP sessions in ACIII, but for every good one there's like 5 horrible ones. Let's put it into FG logic: Don't put yourself in the position of getting attacked and you won't have to suffer an "honorable death". :joker:

I usually play simple DM because I despise the broken abilities

and there's no doubles so you better be a fucking ninja, lol

No doubles in a game that encourages stealth and awareness? I must of skipped DM mode then, because that shit sounds whack. Sounds like DM shouldn't have pursuer/prey mechanics in it if you can't hide anywhere that isn't already obvious (haystacks..etc.).

There's no compass either. No compass, no abilities, no doubles

It's actually really fun, that and Manhunt is really all I'll do willingly
