Are the 2D MKs the better games?

what do you think? and how about something like sf4 with mk chars? 2d gameplay and 3d updated graphics. good idea?

Well, MKvDC does play mostly 2d at times, but isnt dedicated 2d like SFIV is.

A brand new 2d MK could definitely be done, and done pretty cheap. And with todays tech, it could be more awesome than anyone here could possibly imagine.

A 2-D Mortal Kombat could be the killer revival that the series is looking for, honestly. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is something of a flop in the competitive community, but bring that game back to two dimensions and it might be the best Mortal Kombat ever.

Like 2D backgrounds, but in full HD resolution, characters detailed as ****, real blood, accurate collision boxes, mirite?

would be sexy

I like 2D way better, but I do like the combo breakers in the new ones. Defiantley a HUGE improvement that was needed.

No, its one of the worst things about the 3d games.

Again, coming from someone who thinks infinite's are "gay, homo, cheap, cheating", I'm not suprised by you saying that.

BUT DID YOU KNOW....

The 3d games are full of infinite's that not even Breaker's can stop?

I didn't know that, because everytime I have ever played it and someone tried to perform glitch combos like that I was able to break it. Like in Armageddon, I don't know about MK 4, that was one of my favorite games. I do like Gold though and it's like an expansion to the 4th one, you know the one on Dreamcast.

I think MK 4 wasn't that great.. MK gold improved with more characters, but still didn't make the game THAT much better. MK Deadly Alliance kinda rebooted the series for a bit, but the best ones out of the newer ones is probally Deception.

Realisticly are we gonna get another MK game? I mean with all the money issues surrounding Midway...can they afford to make another game? Would it be better for the franchise to go over to Japan? Possibly inject some solid fighting mechanics into the series?

I have to say 2D. I just like the style and even to watch it online when other players are playing.

Also a quick question, I'm new to this forum. Is there an introduction topic??
