Anyone else having trouble dash canceling demonic mace?

Kinda self explanatory. In the character tutorial for Kollector, for some reason can't dash cancel out of Demonic Mace. Is there a specific timing, or am I just crazy? I though it was just hold and dash out of it.

Apparently a hotfix to the game changed/removed being able to do so.

I keep reading here and there about dash cancels being removed... maybe that's why?

This is a blow up, these change was so rushed they didn’t even adjust the tutorial!!! How will people finish it? @16 Bit

I think I saw that if you double tap down it will cancel it. Not quite sure though.

Same thing for me, but the 'skin' did not unlock after completing the tutorial.

Hope they fix it.
