Question - Leatherface Anyone else eating their words?

I will be honest here, while i would have much prefered someone like Fujin (RIP:() I am pleasantly surprised with what they have been able to pull off. definitely checking him out on release day

If people are till saying he doesn't look good they are now just in denial LMAO. The salt has gotten to their heads. He easily already looks top tier. Bravo to the person who made this thread for admitting he looks awesome as fuck. Welcome to the Sawyer family! Your Chainsaw is waiting.

Loosely inspired would be more accurate. He isn't Ed Gein and he isn't supposed to be, they just used the twisted things Gein did for LF and his family because it wasn't something people hadn't really seen before. He is still a fictional character.

Anyway I agree with not seeing how he doesn't fit. I will concede to the point that Leatherface (in his own films) isn't a fighter in the same sense that MK characters are (Neither are Xenomorphs) but you don't have to be a martial artist or military trained to fight/hurt somebody. Just look at Ferra/Torr. If this MK's setting was an actual tournament I would get it, obviously Leatherface wouldn't enter a tournament but this one has nothing to do with any kind if tournament and even partly takes place on Earth.

I think he looks great! Id rather have Michael Myers but... owell. Im a bit dissapointed in Pretty lady and all the projectiles. If he is to throw something it should be the hammer, a knife or a hook and chain. But overall I was really impressed. Im not understanding everyone saying "its a waste of a slot and it should be a real MK character." Its not about all these old characters that had there time in previous games and are obviously not important enough to be included in MKX according to the creators of the game.
GET OVER IT! They aint coming!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. ( Jaqui, Lui Kang, Johnny C, Jax, Sonya, Kung Jin, Cassie, Stryker, ....the list goes on and on... they are no more original or special than any of the guests) Its funny how the guests all have several movies based off their amazing original concept and stories...yet none of the MK characters have this.

I'm sure 90% of players would have prefered original mk characters but get over it ppl cos leatherface is here now. You should watch the films if your not hype for him, and even if you dont like him still just try and appreciate the addition of mr sawyer.

I thought Leatherface looked fun as hell. I'm definitely going to give him a shot.

Also, if we were told that Smoke, Sektor, Cyrax and Cyber Sub-Zero were going to be the Kombat Pack 2, everyone would have loved it. All the complaining over the 2nd Kombat Pack is pretty ridiculous at this point. We are essentially getting 7 characters. And people need to stop blaming NRS for including these guest characters - it's WB that wants them in, not NRS, I'm assuming.

Anyway, I'm officially excited about everything in Kombat Pack 2 (except for Kotal's ridiculously shitty looking alt skin).

I look forward to people bitching about Bo Rai Cho even though NRS knocks his design out of the park as well.

Butcher's tech throw restand but pushes you so far away, even in the corner. Without the Killer range, it would kind of take you out of the rush down game. While the EX chainsaw thing looks awesome, I think Butcher is a bust...

I would definitely play Fujin if he were in. Without question, he was right behind the cyborgs, Noob, and Khrome (I know he's never going to happen) for me. He's a god. The matchup against Raiden is more than just a little intriguing to me. I know its not going to happen though.

Not really, he looks very whateve honestly. Even seems like they ran out of ideas for this lame character because all his specials and normals have the same overhead animation for the most part, one of his Brutalities and on of his fatalities are exactly the same and tossing his chainsaw? Really?

Lol, its funny how predictable people are. NRS knows Leatherface is a boring character so they just gave him every tool imaginable to create some excitement: Armored 50/50, unblockables, cancels, zoning, command grabs, etc.. Its the laziest way to design a dlc character and people still eat it up.

I remember reading the same when Tanya was showed, she had crazy naginata stuff, ground and air 50/50, zoning, teleports, cancels, etc.. such excitement!! How did that turn out?

He might be fun and balanced, we don't know, but stop creaming your pants until you actually play him and see how he fits the game and the meta.

I used to be against it 100% and I said: NRS will have to do an amazing job with designing him to make up for their slip up. They did, the character will be one of the best in the game, and his specials look so cool!

I don't get how a human being would not be entertained with the throwing of chainsaws. That's enough to make me main him lol. He does look really damn good though, mid tier very least. Pretty Lady has full screen control and 50/50s. Killers chainsaw cancels already looks nasty and butcher just looks fun as fuck. Not to mention he had some of the best range in the game. The only thing I see going against him is his speed, so zoners might be a challenge for him. However I'm sure Pretty Lady could make it even. He looks good and they did a good job with him. It's fine if you don't like him, but you can't deny he already looks like a hella good character.
