He asked some of the more difficult questions about DLC and the net code. Interviewers can't really ask anything too risky or they simply won't get any time with them in future. I'd imagine it's a difficult balance to get.
Whoa, so does Ferra/Torr have 50/50's? From the looks of it he's got that low-Ferra throw, overhead bash into charge, and a low command grab. Combined with the reach of their normals, they might turn out to be pretty sick characters.
So did I understand correctly about the 5v5 mode, that you can party up with 5 friends and get matched against other groups? Seems that's what Ed was meaning to say but im not sure if I misunderstood
Praise Angry Joe for asking some good questions and especially getting our first word on improved netcode. Best MKX news iv head in...well, ever really.
An interesting set of videos. The netcode tidbit is promising, but will remain to be seen on if it has gotten better.
The thing that struck me the most is that Goro is confirmed day one DLC, and the control options. Input shortcuts? How much can you cut off of MK's motions?
Wow, they were truly stumped at how to press up in the fatality without jumping. Sorry but even the first time I put MK1 into my snes as a little kid I knew to hold block to press up without jumping. Thats an embarrassing level of fail there, even the most causal of casuals know that or can figure it out on the fly.
Dunno if I buy the netcode bit. Seemed like he was saying it's improved while also strongly qualifying his statement, like what they did when asked about Injustice's netcode back in the day.
I might just be being pessimistic here. But here's my take on his netcode comments. He seemed confident that it's better than MK9 (hard to be worse) but he didn't seem as excited in it being better than injustice. I also felt like this was his chance to mention whether or not they changed it to rollback based netcode and he made no such mentions. Honestly, I think if it were to be rollbased netcode which is what I feel it needs to be there would be a lot of press based on the big netcode changes they've made.
So it's definitely concerning. However, I think they worked hard on offering a lot of single player content which will likely justify the cost of the title, even if the online is lacking.
