I don't get how hard it is to understand that if someone is sending threatening messages to your HOME address how it isn't more serious. I know already that you can be held liable for content posted online, I have already stated both threats should be looked into so *shrugs*.

Yeah got ya just saying that no sent to your home has little difference due to how easy it is to get that address online and such... It takes a bit more effort but it's not treated any different... As long as it only has letters and such...

apparently everyone on earth has common sense and would never make a threat and then follow through with it... or atleast not if its video game related. cause no one gets murdered over petty shit. no one would ACTUALLY rape a mans wife over a video game right? cause that would land some serious jail time, and be dumb. kinda like calling a swat team on a game developer, claiming he has his family at gun point...... well that happened. happens ALOT actually. in 2009 a 19 year old was sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison for swatting. it took numerous incidents before twitch streamers (most recurring victims of swatting) actually started taking these "empty" threats seriously, and pro actively called local law inforcement before they started streaming to inform them that were not in fact, prepping explosives to blow up a mall on live stream. the point is, you don't know how serious internet threats are, or how far someone online is willing to go.

It boils down to this: Ultimately nobody knows this persons true intentions. He could be joking or he could be serious. My money is on the former. If anything though, he's just giving police a reason to look for him were anything to happen to Shaun's wife.

Lets be clear. I think all of us have thoughts that we don't speak out on or act on, but wish we could for whatever reason. Although not always. But yes, people will react to situations differently. So where does this discussion leave us in the end, if nobody knows another's intentions? Because that's what matters right?

As a man dude has the right to do whatever be feels necessary in order to protect his self and or family. However big or small a threat is a threat.

I had a feeling this was gonna pop up on TYM and I at least have to put something out, the media is trying to pin the on the #GamerGate thing (which has jack and all shit to do with what they even say its about), this guy didn't even tag the tweets with the #GamerGate and for further clarification the woman that started the blame on that is Kim Crawley, a journalist that got fired recently for running a butt ton really bad articles with false information.

Just wanted to put that out there!
