This community is so freaking sad at the moment that I'm embarassed to be a part of it. I can here people now saying "GTFO if that is how you feel," but really, those who would say that just don't get what the core problem of this community is.

The quote above IMO examplifies exactly what is wrong with the community, that "we" believe that just because something seems/is relatively easy to execute, and seems relatively easy to understand, that that means everyone can to, and do it at the highest level, and therefore that isn't skill. Fact is that fighting games are not soley about execution, it's about reads, understanding/getting into your opponents head, understanding your tools, you opponents tools, understanding your skill set, and dealing with theirs.

People crying about Superman and his tool set are doing just that...crying. Yes Supes' zoning can be tough (not impossible) to deal with. Yes he can deal hella damage in the right hands. Yes his overall tools are some of the best in the game. But on the other hand, yes Superman can be beaten. Yes he has been beaten at the highest level. And no, Superman isn't broken because of it.

TL;DR

What KDZ did at EVO, and what he does with Supes on the regular, is nothing short of awesome, and those who try and detract from that need to 1) get a grip, and 2) level up.

Also, the whole reading and understanding your opponent. Not so hard when you're Superman. Might as well play against a handicapped opponent (handicapped as in less health, less damage , etc.)

I never train wjth superman like kdz does. Yet I was landing them in training after a few tries. Shit is not hard at all.

I'm willing to bet my nuts that you have waaay more BA MU experience than KDZ. I know how ridiculous that sounds considering KDZs resume in this game but still you can tell he struggles against BA in general.

I think most people agree that a lot of salt comes from the crappy online play. little lag or not it makes a huge difference when your gameplay is not as responsive as offline. I'm Deathstroke and though Superman rapes him up-close I've found my way of dealing with that MU and I give Superman a run for his money, everytime.

And there is nothing as hard as a 1 frame link in Superman's corner combos.

The problem is not the execution itself, it's the reward for said execution. This isn't Mahvel where any team can come up with some loop, reset or setup to deal ridiculous damage. In this game, only Superman gets to break the 50% mark easily and frequently. Whereas you have characters like Flash who need a 20 second cooldown between high damaging combos, Grundy who has to setup 1 Trait chain and/or 1 MB boost move beforehand, and the vast majority of the cast who barely reach the 50% mark after spending more meter and requiring tighter execution.

nope its not good or bad. i was just disputing what a previous poster said regarding KDZ's 'godlike execution of multiple 1 frame links in corner combos' when thats not really the case

if you want to try some hard combos try BB hood infinites, Eddie lil' eddie combos, extended zappa dog combos, cammy sf4 combos (actual one frame links), urien unblockables, etc
