Strategy 2, 1, 2, Clone pushback

What determines how far you get pushed back after 2, 1, 2, Ice Clone on block in the corner? Sometimes I get pushed back far and sometimes I get pushed back right behind the clone. It seems to be random but I'm not sure.

Funny, I was testing this exact thing earlier today. I thought it might have to do with how much you delay inputting the clone. But it is completely random.

Have you tested stance? like open vs closed, closed vs closed, etc.

To me it's pretty random, but I haven't test stance. Actually the only time I press stance button is to X-Ray. But that's a possibility.

Well your stance will change on its own throughout the fight. I've never paid enough attention to it, though, as to what action causes you to change stances.

I just tested it vs low & high hitbox characters, in stand & crouch block, against all 4 stance possibilites, and with all possible ways I could delay the inputs. It's just random.

I'd imagine it just has to do with your timing. Faster vs slower = closer vs further? Seems sensible.
