This december 10 2006 here in Venezuela we are going to have a tourney featuring UMK3 arcade and MKT N64. We hope to gather at least 30 players per game and we will upload the results and vids as soon as we get them.

I know this may not interest foreign players but its just to let you know that the scene here isnt dead.

EDIT:

Results from the tourneys:

Kind of dissapointing because of the absence of many players that called that they could not attend the event because mayor stuff (and other lazy ones) but still a good showdown!

List of players per game and winners:

MK Trilogy N64:

Ari
Reinaldo
Ronny
Humberto
Alexis
RZP
Raul
Hanzo_Hasashi
Matute
Rommy
Victor
Jhonny
Kanfei Cheng

Winners:

1st place: RZP
2nd place: Victor
3rd Place: Hanzo_Hasashi

For UMK3 only signed up 8 players  and the sticks werent in tip top form but they allowed for some intense matches. Players that attended were:

Humberto
Reinaldo
Rommy
Matute
Victor
Ari
RZP
Hanzo_Hasashi

Winners:

1st place: RZP
2nd place: Humberto
3rd Place: Rommy.

Congrats to all players that went to it and a kick on the ass  to those that simply didnt go because laziness and stuff. Remarkably the matches from MKT in wich an scorpion went MAD and started fucking everyione and Victor who was drunk to the limit and he had never played that good! I might het drunk before a tourney too! Finally RZP´s skill for winning both tourneys.

Sadly TMNT TF didnt caught much attention and few casual matches were taped.

Soon all vids will be online for everyone to enjoy.

30 players per game would be amazing. Can't wait to see the footage.

Yeah, last UMK3 tourney we get 26 players and we expect more this time. Its odd (and sad) that N64 MKT always have more signs ups. :(

Thx everybody for the feedback.

Added TMNT:TF to the games lineup.

TMNT TF had 16 players at NEC7 yesterday lol. UMK3 had 10 today, 12 in the house total. A lot of eyes were opened however, constant random players asking technical questions.

It is kind of sad to see MKT get more of a turn out than UMK3. But MKT is more broken and a lot of people enjoy that.

LoL, I can't wait for the TMNT:TF footage either. I was watching the people playing it at NEC and I was shocked. I never even played it before. Shock's told me before that it is a great fighter but I had no idea it could be so interesting.

How nice to see the feedback for TMNT TF. Yes that shit should have been on arcade!

To RZP: Yes I have the entire footage, this sunday I will give it to you and you can put it online.

BTW no one knows if someone taped the TMNT stuff at NEC?

It's a fun game with a wide usable character range. Wing Nut is pretty cool. I might start playing again.

I've always dreamt of making a fighting game based on the arcade sprites from TMNT 1 and 2, hey, it could happen now! Lots of sprite hacking awaits.

With the mugen your dream can come true ^_^ i saw some video games based on this and look nice, but the gameplay (in some games) sucks... i would like to learn how to use those programs to make a game... could be great, i have a umk3 game hack with many players like Lui kang from MK2, and when you make JHK (with HK off course) the player jump and make a RH in the hair (pretty good) liu kang from mk2 have kombos, Jhonny Cage from MK1 and MK2 have kombos too, and others stuff, the game play is awesome if you look into the game and see that is just a unofficial game or hack game...
