Discussion Overbuffed characters in mkxl final patch

Sub design was cancer and even the majority of sub players admitted that fact sooner or later.

Also his corner game actually became less risky after universal removal of armor launchers.

Btw, suprisingly Sorcerer still has not been mentioned in this thread.

Mkx sub community were also one of the worst.

They were awful. Sub, Mileena, Cage, and Kenshi were total shit imo

She has no decent combo starter, her mid may be advancing but it's also not as great as some other advancing mids in the game and overall, I just need to understand her better because to me she feels weak against characters like Liu, Kitana, Cassie, Kano, Predator, etc.

Pyromancer is very strong against the most of the cast right now. Her dust got 2 hits of armor and ex and normal dust got tons of damage buff (they are safe as well) her fireballs got plus damage, thanks to major damage buff to dust the combination of ex dust and throw deals satisfactory damage, and when ex teleport is not followed by normal teleport (because it reduces the combo damage) the combos with dusted fireball attacks hit really good. But playing Tanya requires a little bit faster hands so :p

The only way to combo with her is with ex teleport though, that's a massive downside when teleport doesn't start up fast, have armor or any invincibility though? And that's 2 bars spent for average damage if you ex-dust to armour through and then start a combo. As opposed to characters I feel to be top tier that can just press buttons and end up hitting you for 40% off of their mids.

Her d1 has t-rex reach and it's 7f, her d4 has also bad reach and her best string b312 has 2 exploitable gaps. I'm probably missing something.

Don't take this as whining I just like this character and I want to figure it out.

Teleport is definitely fast lol. I believe it’s 8f or something like that. And that’s not the only way to launch with her.

Her having to spend 2 bars to get damage is very normal considering most people with armored launchers have to do that.

Also, she’s a zoner. She isn’t supposed to do massive damage anyways. Her fireballs add up, especially when you’re shrouded in dust

Uhm she is able to get %39 with one bar midscreen (with f3 overhead) and %36 with 1 bar (with b3 low), which is pretty satisfactory

Cage communuty was bad at the start. After a while everyone caught up on execution etc and realised how good he was.

Everyone carried on saying jc community were down players even though nobody said he wasn't top tier, on tym at least.

He was one of these characters where the counterplay was really hard but it was there so it kind of inflated the hatred. In some matchups in various patches he was utterly broken

Nobody talks about the Kang community who said his psuedo infinite dash cancel pressure was fine. That character was consistently down played forever. He was aliens only bad matchup lol.

But totally off topic so I'll shut up now

Ruthless was such a good variation, only thing it really lacked was a good anti air (d3 was decent for cross jumps). Otherwise it had great damage, anti zoning, plus frames, setups, a good mid and a potato njp. Still had some matchups that were pretty hard to deal with.

I can buy that, I still think Wrestler beat Tarkatan (the variation I played), probably not Acidic though.

If I’m being honest with myself though I might just be bad in the Jax matchup because I was obviously a Grandmaster main and we uhhh..... never really had to lab anything Jax related to beat 99% of Jax players free for obvious reasons

i honestly feel like milly vs sub prepatch being a 7-3 was complete horsesh**. the corner has always been a big problem for mileena pre-patch or current patch. she has literally NO character unique options to deal with it, besides guess right. i'd say it was a solid 6-4 in her favor pre-patch and 5-5 right now. that corner game was just brutal for her. even if she had great answers for him in the midscreen you still had to do quite a bit of outplaying to make sure u didn't get cornered.

f*** gm sub though, easily one of the most brainless characters in the game along with mystic, possessed, kang, etc.
