Allow me to point out that I'm referring to el_rubio's first post. You should be embarrassed of that post, it's nonsense. If you truly believe that was racism, you've either got way more info than everyone else that you're not sharing, or you move through your life presuming that everything is a conspiracy and that anytime something bad happens it's borne out of racism. If the former is true, so be it, air it out and let's hold the person accountable.

On the other hand, if you're just talking out of your ass, then you should actually think about what you're saying. Between you and the other guy saying he won't ever come to the US, you sound like you've never been here. The us and North America are far from perfect and examples and instances of racism do absolutely exist, but this is an amazing place that when compared to the vast majority of the world, is incredibly tolerant and is the kind of place that anyone from any racial background can have a good life.

Don't just always believe the hype and anti us propaganda that has become the norm.

You hear some disparaging comments about people of Mexican descent, Indian descent, and African-American descent, but most people think Brazil is kind of cool. This is also due to people loving soccer, UFC, the beaches in Rio and Bossa Nova.

In addition to this, the FGC is like 50% minorities. Probably half the guys at Semij and Xinok's level or above have Puerto Rican, Dominican, Central American, African American, Middle Eastern, or East Asian etc. ancestry. Caucasian guys are usually the minority in Top 8 in every FGC community except Smash.

Anyway, I think it's a pretty big leap to assume this was an act of sheer racism. Not saying it's impossible, but the FGC is the one of the most welcoming gaming communities to people of all colors that I have ever seen.

It was actually a racist attack toward semiij. Im sick of you racist South Americans coming to NA just to do racist acts of terror like turn off the ps4 just because of someone's race. Does nobody else see the problem with this?

Every single latin american player feels the same way as I did.

You should ask Xinok how he is feeling, why don't you ask him during the top 8 how he is feeling?

Could be this, too. I heard that most of the Americans hate the Mexicans. They even treated most of the non-Americans (I mean the whole region) as Mexicans.

@El_Rubio , indeed, he didn't say anything. He reacted accordingly at that incident, when he put off his headphones furiously, and I can understand him. He was close to beat Semiij.

Sorry, fellas, but if you look at the video carefully, you would notice that this dick move closing the PS4 was intentional. It wouldn't be an intentional move, if it was opening itself with another console around the vicinity, and at the same time it was opening the user login menu.

Would get hyped to watch the KIT, but instead this fucker messed everything up with this dick move. It was the dickiest move in the entire FGC world.

Not only did you not notice flappy was being sarcastic but you in turn describe American racism by making racist assumptions about "most Americans." Either this is some colossal bait that I am obliviously grabbing or this post is on a whole new level of irony.

Let me tell you this. Sarcasm doesn't work on me. And those aren't just assumptions. It's what I heard here and there. If you want to call them assumptions, you could just state some facts that it's not racism the foreigners are facing in USA.

You can ask him how he was feeling and he can obviously have an opinion, but what is his opinion worth when it was HIS duty to protect his own match by desyncing before he started. If all of Latin America feels the same way, you need to sort it out really because this happens every event and not exclusively to international players, get over yourselves.

This didnt stop him from making top 8 either. It's not even as if the game that went into rest mode even made him lose because he won that match anyway. Semiij beat him legitimately.

You cant play the 'us against the world' card with me, cause I know all about that sort of situation probably better than anybody, and this time, it had nothing to do with the situation.

The point is, this isn't even racial to begin with. It's just ppl who look way too deeply into matters. If ppl get offended over small things like that well they are not ready for society.

Actually i know who set the ps4 to rest mode and it was a complete accident. Firstly, its the responsibility of the players going up to play to turn off the controllers. Also, nobody was "Racist" to Xinok. We all showed him love and talked to him and rooted for him. When the monitors cut off the first time ALL setups lost power.

No idea where this silly racist talk is coming from but yeah, its not even close to true.

I don't know if racism was the right word for you to use, but when an international player comes to compete, the host country has to stop the invaders from winning. ( not saying the dsync was on purpose, highly likely it was an accident ) but maybe thats the aggression you sensed.

I hear a lot of South American countries are actually very welcoming and dont share this mentality, but that's how it is. At the end of the day it's all love, but like the olympics USA will take GOLD.

Yeah all the setups lost power so we had to play the rest of top 16 on 2 monitors waaaaay in the corner. Everything else cut. The crowd loved xinok and we all hung out. Im sorry he felt like he was mistreated.
