Sonic Fox departs from team cR - Another big announcement later?

It's all so very confusing.
Im not gonna lie, I am wracking my brain to think of any SonixFox announcement that would cause a shift in the ENTIRE FGC.. Unless he's picked up by a corporate level sponsor - which I REALLY hope is what happens, because I would LOVE to start seeing the guys that drive the FGC at the highest levels make actual money.. Obviously some players DO make good money (hasnt Fox earned 300k+?) but its a *tiny* pool of players. Shit its not a pool, its an efficiency apartment sink.

I have opinions on player responsibility but that is neither here nor there.

I'm thinking one of the bigger pro teams, they'd be remiss not to sponsor him, with the credentials he has. However, it being NRS games, Idk. Maybe it's happening now because Inj 2 is coming, but I don't see MK sitting well with a sponsor like C9 or TL, idk though, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I suspect that it's even bigger than just the sponsor teams.

Either by having a Partnered Twitch Channel that can draw money from Subscription Fees or Donations (Assuming they are popular enough).

A YouTube Channel that has been partnered with Ad Sense and generates enough views to merit some form of a payout.

Members that place in Tournaments and contribute a percentage of their winnings towards the team.

Or Sponsorships with Clothing/Electronic Companies. Some Team's sell T Shirts, others promote brands of Controller's or capture devices, things like that.

man he should try and join a legitimate e sports org, most wouldn't turn him down since he is one of the best fighting game players of our time. some teams he should contact are: cloud9(have 2fighting game players atm), CLG, Liquid, EG, Dignitas, Fnatic(picked up PL in the past),SK, NiP, EnvyUS, OpticGaming or like Faze.

if he joined any of these orgs, he would be salaried and wouldn't have to worry about winning a tournament just to get paid as it would be his real job, he would have plenty of sponsors, and he could grow his brand more.

Well im not sure if that dude is just stirring things to get attention but if its big enough to shift the fgc its not a new sponsor.

There's so much more money to be made, retiring wouldn't make sense unless he wants to just have a normal college life. Plus he reeeeaally loves fighting games I think lol.

Being hired from NRS is pretty cool. Maybe they want to hire him and stop him from basically getting donated $10k every tournament lol.

There's a 0% chance he left cR to join a sponsor currently involved in the NRS scene like Noble or GTG. The only player with a high tier sponsor right now is Scar with Panda Global and that's most likely too small for SonicFox.

My guess is he would either join a top tier sponsor such as Liquid, EG, TSM, etc. or join a legit corporation to have them sponsor him, or do something none of us can guess which has me excited!

Razer/Liquid would make sense since he could push their new controller ezpz and they have champions in both SF and Smash. I'd buy a controller with NuckleDu and SonicFox on the poster.

I would be willing to bet he's not joining some other clan or anything like that. A major sponsor is picking him up. My bet would be Red Bull.
