If anyone here has the game how does the netcode feel?
yeah, where is all the talky talk? The game is out.
I'm going wait for payday to pick it up personally, but I'm interested in hearing how things turned out and what characters are looking good.

On r/kappa they were saying it's input delay and is as good as the connection is. So I'm guessing overall better than 13 but still mediocre.

The dream is dead...
And here I was hoping to spice up my FG life before Tekken took over. At this rate I might just get back in to Skullgirls. I swear of T7 somehow sucks online I'll be getting top 8 in Skullgirls. It might be the only fighter with good online I'll like. Unless SFV gets some fixes.

Dem Japanese don t know how to do a good netcode only dem Tentacle Porns :DOGE:DOGE
Namco and ArcSys would like to have a word with you.

Can they give me dem tentacle Porns?:DOGE:DOGE
But more seriously I heard the last GG had a meh netcode and didn t TT2 netcode become worse down the line?
Yeah GG isn't their best work but it's ok. Def not MKX level on ok connections. Blazblue on the other hand was the first time I experienced a 2d fighter with great netcode. OH shit BBCP is coming out. Hope they don't botch That one

Idk about later on for TTT2 but I don't see how it would get worse.

Well this all sounds like a lot of suck. Not sure I really want it at all now. I usually don't care much about playing people, but I've been doing more of it and it's really hard to juggle lots of games anyway.

I did do several hundred hours on MKX against the CPU only, but I'm not sure I want to go in knowing that's really the only option. Might be one thing if it was unremarkable, but bad is another thing.

I can't say I was expecting magic. Good netcode is only now becoming a thing. It's been clear they were trying their hearts out with the game, but it's also obvious they were struggling a bit to really hit the modern quality bars.

I will probably still grab it since I do want to reward all the effort and hope they invested in the game. They want to bring the SNK franchises back and I want that too. Kind of sucks that netcode can kill a game. There was no such thing as online when I started fighting.

ye

yeah I think they may have killed the KOF franchise
Idk about killed but it definitely didn't help grow their scene. They had so much hype too. I think the only thing they messed up was online. Tournaments will still be amazing though. Most likely better than 13 too.

Was easier to gather somewhere and play offline. Made sense to everyone too since tech was do limited back then. Nowadays you got to enable people to play from home. I'm not an OG or anything but I'd like it if there was more attention to offline meetings from the general public. Always feels better to beat someone in person than online.

On-line just doesn't feel good in comparison. I have all kinds of problems doing stuff I don't just playing the CPU. Maybe I get too nervous playing people as well, but I'm like "where my move?", "Why am I jumping?", "Was that my input from forever ago?"

I've not had a lot of luck getting used to that, but then MKX[L] is really the only game I've spent any real time online with, or really ever understood. When the game lags I know it immediately where as in the past I never noticed playing IJGU on my TV was awful. I did just pick up SFV finally for PC. Feels a lot more familiar to me than SFIV ever did. May see how that goes online, though there are a lot more hardcore types and the netcode isn't as strong as MKXL from what I've gathered.
