Lack of Exposure at Majors

After watching a few video packages hyping CEO (before and after the tournament) I noticed that Injustice/MK players were featured in them very little, if at all over the Capcom players. While I am not posting specifically to criticize CEO, I believe it does highlight a bigger issue this community has: lack of exposure.

I understand that Capcom is currently "where the money's at." But how is this community to grow and get on their level if not given more exposure by tournament organizers? Whose job it to help the community grow? Do we as a community have to get the numbers up to a certain level before being given greater exposure by TO's? How *can* we get those numbers up without the advertising that TO's can give us on streams? I would like to hear from the rest of the community -- fans and tournament players alike, on how this issue can be resolved.

PS: I would also like to thank people like Pig -- who allow us to watch much more MK/IGAU tournament play than TO's would otherwise allow, because they're nice enough to make arrangements for secondary streams.

That's seriously amazing, I don't see where you're coming from here.

As far as the exposure in exhibitions/post videos/pre videos, it has only been just recently that the well known people in the NRS community be known commonly by players outside of the NRS community. It'll just take time before Injustice will be on the level of those other games.

Everything can't happen all at once, but stuff like the dedicated stream and Injustice in general are becoming more and more common so I wouldn't fret. When Marvel was in it's third month it had just as much momentum as Injustice has now, so things are looking up. By next year, who knows.

Are you sure? I could have sworn someone from Atlanta brought his equipment and that's how some of the Injustice matches were streamed. Not all of them, but more then what was on the main stream which was AE. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Funky P is from Atlanta, but Jebailey had him come to stream MK/Injustice well in advance before the tournament.

At the actual venue Injustice even had a dedicated mini-stage in the back primarily for the MK/Injustice stream too. It wasn't poverty like MK9 usually is at majors. So the three streams were 1. The ring// 2. The cage // 3. The mini stage.

Jebailey, specifically speaking, really cares for Injustice.

Wells that's good. NRS feels like the red headed step child during the big majors. IMO anyway.

I'd just like to say too that for games in the FGC the amount of stream time and exposure they get all depends on tournament entrants.

The higher the entrants get the higher the respect and time the game will get, it's not the other way around where TOs cater to a game that they want to see the scene grow for. It's all about those entrants numbers. And Injustice is actually getting a boat load of entrants every major now, sometimes literally on par with Marvel (like at UFGT).

A game hasn't come out since Marvel (2011) that has held it's own weight against SF4 (2009), but Injustice definitely does and it's just getting better and better entrants-wise. Only good things to come, like I said before.

I think what Injustice needs is equivalents to Wednesday night fights where once a week we got a local seen with a lot of frequent top players duking it out in tourney.
